Yes, it's amazing how the light plays sometimes. I once was walking concentrated in my own thoughts when suddenly looked at the sky and saw this wonderful spectacle of light. I used to have a problem with using it in the begining ( the begining being when I first heard of it) because I thought it was a bit much !! My ignorance kept me from understanding the power of Namasté because I never fully understood its meaning .. The spirit in me honors the spirit in you. It is because we are different that each of us is special."- this is why I no long believe or condone contests as to who is the best. American's can't seem to get enough of....what is the best movie of the year....who sings best...etc. One sick society and all this does is cause seperation. No wonder we WAR. Evidently our president thinks we are the best and can dictate to the rest of the world. This has been a dramatic shift of thinking for me since I was brought up in a very competitive family. I know I have changed since now when i teach my step son strategy games i am quite ambivilent about the outcome. He knows this when I win and finds it frustrating since he still thinks competition and who is better is important. When he starts tallking about all those silly shows on TV (American Idol for example) I just laugh and tell him it is old style thinking and it is through such brain washing that seperation is created in our species which of course eventually leads to war. ************** Thanks for your comment Martha. The competition was something for me very difficult to cope with during my stay at university in USA. I felt there like an octopus in a garage (spanish saying) because everybody was always trying to prove that they were the best ones, to stand out, and for me that is not important at all. Of course I always try to do my best and try to reach the higher level I can, but I don't feel any need to be better than anybody else, or to be compared with anybody else. I wonder what makes somebody to feel this need to be the best... Maybe some inner insecurity? The education received in the family? Probably it's a combination of many factors. ************************************* I believe that competition in the US of A is blown way out of proportion and people are brainwashed since childhhood to thinking in that manner. And yes insecurity is the bases along with jealousy. Most people don't even think about competition as anything but as a normal human trait. I disagree. Yes, in the other animal life forms competition is necessary to survive but since we have a larger brain to perceive and act in our world I see competition as a lower form of energy. Old thinking, old way of doing life and not necessary to living in a co-creative environment. Also in America we elevate anyone who is "the best" to a silly position of power and in doing so, those that believe such mindless thinking give away their power....which leads to separation and WAR. ************ Unfortunately many times it seems that we, human beings, don't have a brain in our heads, a brain capable to learn from the past and to understand the real consequences of our acts BEFORE doing them instead of AFTER. We remember our past, but it seems that history is repeating and repeating like if we hadn't learnt anything. We DO and then complain afterwards, when nothing can be changed. I am adding few more lines as hereunder... Life is a wonderful gift we have got from 'God'. Life is a joy which we can give others as well as ourselves. Life is simple but we ourselves make it complicated . Life is beautiful and it's in our hands to retain the charm. Life is a zebra crossing with dark and bright patches. Life is a wonderful experience in itself. Life is only giving without expecting anything. Life is spreading the air of happiness all around others. Life is lending an ear to all those who need to open out their heart. Life is sharing sorrows of all those who need to lean on your shoulder. Life is offering a helping hand Life is reaching out to people. Life is loving each and every living creature. Life is not about spending time on this planet and counting the number of years you have been able to survive. It is by how much you have learnt on this planet. How much you have been able to give others. And how much you have been able to understand them. Life is living for others. Life is watching the flowers bloom adding the beauty to the nature and learn to be beautiful intrinsically. Life is observing the birds fly and learn to give freedom to others. Life is watching the sunrise and sunset and learn to believe that in everyone's life there are instances of good and bad times… but after every dark phase there is a ray of sunshine. Life is seeing the river flow and understanding that no matter what happens 'Life Goes On'. All of us complain that life is disgusting, but who is to be blamed? It's our own actions , the circumstances that we create for ourselves that make life difficult for us. We are the architects of our own life and it's in our hands to make it worth living by all the good deeds or destroying it by giving birth to the evil thoughts within us. You should live life in a manner that when you leave this planet, there is a smile on your face and a sense of satisfaction and people around you have moist eyes with a feeling that they are losing the most precious friend and they remember you for all the good things that u have done for humanity for the rest of their lives. And if you were able to do all this, you have reached the acme and you are close to the ruler of the 'Universe'the one who sent you to this earth to accomplish the mission of spreading Love and Happiness, The one who now wants you back!!!
