Many people want a truly human world but few believe it really achievable. Have we any clear idea what such a world would have to be like, and are we going the right way of achieving it?
Boring or Specific?
Daniel Pech said my writing is very general, therefore boring – not specific and thereby interesting. I understand that view. But this movement is about making a new civilisation, on the grounds that our present reality is not acceptable – not right for an intelligent species.
Since we have no example of the civilisation to model ourselves on, can we be specific about it? I don’t think so. Our task is to abandon the principles and practices specific to our existing wrong reality, all of them, because they are interdependent.
Our new civilisation will have to be built anew, founded upon moral truth, if it is to be the right reality. Some of the principles that are absolutely necessary to it will be very hard to accept and incorporate, such as equality.
Our present society toys with the idea of equality but recognises the principle of inequality. There is much political argument specifically about this and other matters, and the result is compromise – continual disagreement and conflict.
All features of the new civilisation must hang together. That’s why our planning for it must be general, all-embracing. The specifics of our existing lives relate to the wrong reality, founded on competitive instinct rather than intelligence. So that’s why our reasoning should be general if we are to get anywhere, and I don’t find it boring but compelling.

is to define who we really are. Humans, a composite of body, mind, soul.

The human is a living being whose chief faculty is its postconscious mind whose function is truth. I do not find that the deepest thinking of that mind suggests the existence of a soul.
