Mutual Life, from Go positional terminology (Seki in Japanese,) is in its simple form a sort of symbiosis in which coexisting live groups share liberties which neither of them can fill without dying.

In the intricate situation rendered in Hideki Nakazawa's art piece, above, every stone is living with Seki.
