The last week or two has been one of continually being on the go. There is so much to do, so many things to get done, so many events to attend, and so many things on the calendar. In the last week, I have also noted a number of very synchronistic references to the idea of "being" vs "doing". At the National Guild of Hypnotists conference two weeks ago, one of the speakers made the comment that we should really be called "human-doings" rather than "human-beings", because we are all so busy and so focused on what we are doing. When I look at my date book, I again realize just how right she was. More >

Sat 28th Aug -- Patience Night
Nine / Patience
---------------
The energy of Nine is one of getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine, plans or patterns begin to come to completion. With the energy of Nine, patience and perseverence found in the bigger picture are strong or there is great suffering for the lack thereof. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Night
-----
Bringers of the dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness or the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void, a place where nothing exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night's voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If Night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves waundering the darkness of self-doubt and insecurity.
A good day to: Spend time contemplating the stars.

"Being conscious is cutting through your own melodrama
and being right here.
Exist in no mind, be empty, here now, and trust that as a situation arises, out of you will come what is necessary
to deal with that situation including the use of your intellect when appropriate.
Your intellect need not be constantly held on to
to keep reassuring you that you know where you’re at,
out of fear of loss of control.
Ultimately, when you stop identifying so much
with your physical body and with your psychological entity,
that anxiety starts to disintegrate. And your start to define yourself as in flow with the universe; and whatever comes along ~ death, life joy, sadness ~ is grist for the mill of awakening, Not this versus that but whatever."

Monday 16th Aug -- Manifestation Monkey
Ten / Manifestation
-------------------
What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. This is the energy when what has had attention and intention focused upon it becomes real. A powerful energy that carries a great responsiblity.
Monkey
------
Monkey, is known to the Maya as the Weaver or the Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads or vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey's innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.
A good day do: Begin anything new in your life.

Dancing in Circles [link]
”Once upon a time, they say, we danced our lives through - as we worked, played, ate, slept, fought, and loved. We danced to petition and appease the gods, to help the sun rise, the rivers flow, and the plants grow and thrive. By dancing we understood our power and our place in the universe, and through dance we transmitted this understanding to the next generation. We danced to celebrate life’s rites of passage, from birth to death; through the dance we attuned to and imitated the rhythms, cycles and the awe-inspiring process of nature, and we danced to express our joy, fear, grief and hope. According to Bernhard and Maria Gabrielle Wosien, "Dancing has always been an imitation of the divine mystery in manifestation." To live was to dance. More >

8th Aug -- Duality Night
Two / Duality
-------------
Mysterious as the question, "To be or not to be? Here is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Ying/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number's energy.

To see beyond, look within. To see above look below. To see the large view the small, and to see the many look at the few.
Some thoughts on the changes upon us, and how they are indeed in progress: Both large and small, pivotal events seem to be manifesting in our personal experiences, as they are in the events of the world.
My own sense is that in many important ways, they are one and the same. As within, so without. Changes in the large and changes in the small mirror eachother. More >

Can our thoughts and feelings affect matter?
Are we really a connected or are we separate individuals?
Is there really a universal energy that ties all things together?
Well, as I see things, it's about time this becomes a proven fact by the scientific community.
A new civilisation? Why not! Time to prove that our thoughts influence and manifest our expectations and experiences in the world we live.
Will the sceptics ever believe? Only if they choose to. As the saying goes "the proof is in the pudding" More >

Ego - The False Center
by Osho
The first thing to be understood is what ego is. A child is born. A child is born without any knowledge, any consciousness of his own self. And when a child is born the first thing he becomes aware of is not himself; the first thing he becomes aware of is the other. It is natural, because the eyes open outwards, the hands touch others, the ears listen to others, the tongue tastes food and the nose smells the outside. All these senses open outwards.
That is what birth means. Birth means coming into this world, the world of the outside. So when a child is born, he is born into this world. He opens his eyes, sees others. 'Other' means the thou. He becomes aware of the mother first. Then, by and by, he becomes aware of his own body. That too is the other, that too belongs to the world. He is hungry and he feels the body; his need is satisfied, he forgets the body.
This is how a child grows. First he becomes aware of you, thou, other, and then by and by, in contrast to you, thou, he becomes aware of himself.
This awareness is a reflected awareness. He is not aware of who he is. He is simply aware of the mother and what she thinks about him. If she smiles, if she appreciates the child, if she says, "You are beautiful," if she hugs and kisses him, the child feels good about himself. Now an ego is born.
Through appreciation, love, care, he feels he is good, he feels he is valuable, he feels he has some significance.
A center is born. More >

There are many loud voices in the world. There are many harsh voices, voices of fear and anger. From the depths of inner silence one finds one's voice of hope, faith, love and clarity. It's not easy. It is possible.
In prayer, in mediation, in nature, one encounters the inner stillness. It may last only a moment. It may be engulfed by the noise of the world or the noise of one's mind. It still matters to have that moment, that still moment when suddenly everything is at peace, just for one breath, just for one moment. More >
