25 May 2003 @ 13:46 by Dave Pollard @67.70.8.139 : Doc Searles' definition of blogging 26 May 2003 @ 07:11 by Jon @209.148.230.183 : Blogmail Your note about Doc reminded me of a forecast from several months ago. Given the problems with spam, I wouldn't be surprised if, over the next 5 to 10 years, blogging evolves to become peoples' "public" e-mail - in organizations, associations, communities. Private e-mail will be "permission-only", very secure and it's form and use will be intricately impacted by the whole Digital ID debate. 26 May 2003 @ 12:44 by ming : Blogging mail Might very well be if blogs more generally become public e-mail. The people who read my blog are usually the people I'd be most interested in talking to anyway. It is irritating when somebody writes and asks me what I've been doing recently, when they haven't been reading my blog, and aren't going to. 26 May 2003 @ 17:28 by Chris Corrigan @209.148.247.108 : What is Doc holding? Doc looks as if he has just uttered the words "set phasers to stun" and he's about to fry something...what IS that in his hand? 26 May 2003 @ 17:32 by ming : Doc Heheh, he's holding his digital video camera, as he was taking pictures too, and downloading them to his laptop. Or, gee, maybe it really was a phaser.
