New Civilization News: Up to Tai Chi Chuan again

Following a three year break from Tai Chi Chuan - Wudang style. I'm at it again, and just after taking up tai chi again I come to realise how much I actually have missed doing it.

I took part in a 2 day seminar where I refreshed the short form and I was astonished once again (I think this was my 3rd break from Tai Chi... :/ ) over how much I actually love doing it and I have missed doing it. But I certainly also realised that I was in a more worse physical shape than I actually thought. After only 1 hour of practise, my whole body was aching !

The short form is only made up of 34 postures taking some 5-6 minutes to complete in the round form as to compared to the more basic square form.

Emphasis is on breathing, coordination, correct postures and as a considerably side effect, an improved attention span.

But one thing I noticed was that the instructors course that sifu Torben Rif uses is the emphasis on personal development. Instructors are given specific tools to teach which not only help make Wudang Tai Chi Chuan available through competent instructors under strict guidance, but also gives the individual instructors room for personal growth.

I will use it for my own sake to improve my general physique but I also hope to get rid of an annoying eczema on my hands in the hopefully not so long term. I'm cutting down on my heavy coffee drinking.... 10 cups a day and sometimes more.. It was a bad habit and I think a bad combination along with too little exercise.

Read more about Torben Rif's Tai Chi Skole here.

I'm planning on taking up Tai Chi again too. Has been a number of years. But in the meantime I did DahnHak for several years, which is a Korean practice which has some tai chi like exercises. Anyway, I'll just find a suitable center close by and see what they have. There's one that teaches Kendo too, which have some curiosity about.

the local Wudang Tai Chi chuan club in France {link:http://www.wudangfrance.com/|Wudang France} They usually have a summer seminar where you can learn the short form. And besides Wudang Tai Chi Chuan is one of the few styles that have internal strength (Nei Kung) practices or inside the door students / Bai Shi.

Try to find some source of Alkaline microwater for your eczema. Conditions like this are usually a clear indication of an acidic build up in the body. I have been using the water (microcluster and Ph around 9) for a few years now and would recomend it check {link:www.ionlife.info|site to start the search} this is the best value equipment I have found maybe a source closer to you though as it seems silly to ship from Korea to Australia then to you in the very far North!!! I myself moved on to Qigong practices as an alternative to Tai Chi Chuan, less of a fighting form and more internal emphasis suited me better.

it seems that the cause of it was too much coffee. Or maybe a combination of both reducing coffee and doing Tai Chi chuan. Thanks for the link.
