so the industrial revolution is the cause
climate change the effect...
and quantum weirdness the sucker punch or red herring.

is that how anyone else reads it?

2 Apr 2007 @ 20:56 by jmarc : The dirty lowdown
no, no, and well, I'll leave the third to another.

Take a ride inmy time machine back to the fourteen hiur work day and the populations wiped out by plagues and flee bitten royalty, and then come back here to this time and see if you still lament mans seperation from the Earth...

Baby's into runnin' around
Hanging with the crowd
Putting your business in the street talking out loud
Saying you bought her this and that
And how much you done spent
I swear she must believe it's all heaven sent
Hey boy, you better bring the chick around
To the sad, sad truth, the dirty lowdown

(Whooooo, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)
Taught her how to talk like that
(Whooooo, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)
Gave her that big idea

Nothing you can't handle, nothing you ain't got
Put the money on the table and drive it off the lot
Turn on that ole lovelight and turn a maybe to a yes
Same old schoolboy game got you into this mess
Hey son, better get on back to town
Face the sad old truth, the dirty lowdown

(Whooooo, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)
Put those ideas in your head
(Whooooo, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)

Come on back down earth, son
Dig the low, low, low, low lowdown

You ain't got to be so bad got to be so cold
This dog eat dog existence sure is getting old
Got to have a Jones for this Jones for that
This running with the Joneses boy
Just ain't where it's at
You gonna come back around
To the sad, sad truth, the dirty lowdown

(Whooooo, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)
Got you thinking like that boy
(Whooooo, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)

(I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)
(Say whooooo, I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who)
Ooooooh look out for that lowdown
That dirty, dirty, dirty, dirty lowdown
(Whoooo I wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder who, ohh, ohh)
Got you thinking like that

2 Apr 2007 @ 21:12 by jmarc : Don't know much about
quantum physics except that, for now until string theory or an alternate is proven, us beings above the quark level are living still in a Newtonian world. Speculation is all well and good, but remains just that.

2 Apr 2007 @ 21:26 by swanny : Yes
And for all intensive and practical purposes it doesn't make much dif to the meaning of being alive or the price of tea in China whether or not it is 1 or 0 or 1 and 0 as its rather irrelative and a moot and anal point.

So.... I figure we need to stock on food and water for maybe a 25 year period of adjustment and then as well to figure out where and when to plant what given the coming changing of the climate zones and bee territory. Theyre already plantings apple trees in Sask where they never used to grow. Takes a while for those you know.

2 Apr 2007 @ 21:40 by bushman : Hmm,
universal compression pulses, heat everything up, very slight in the grand scheem, but it affects matter. Whole galixys, suns and planets, and the entire universe. When every planet and our own sun show signs of heating/increesed activity, no man has done that, so how is it man is seperate? and responsable for the heat on his planet? He has not set foot on the sun yet, it too has heated. When the planet gets hot, it must grow jungles, how can it do this without extra CO2? Confussed? well animals get a winter coat, so the earth must get a summer coat, making rain forests, big white fluffy clouds send the heat from sun back into space. Is man self regulating on an unconcious level? Sure he could, he chops and burns rain forest, leaving the planet semi nude, and forcing her to put on new cloths. Some of us do know that man is a pig, those of us that do know, will cut down on our exhast. Again, its the millitary and big corperations pumping out the major amounts of CO2, its the fires of war. A single camp fire puts out more toxic smoke and fumes than a single car. So many factors out weight mans, spew. We are there, we have the tech, if the gov wants to take the line that its mans fault, then priests, will call it the wrath of god. When we are there and don't need to be burning anything to survive which is right now, then the real problem is the gov not forcing car companies and others to do it clean, start with them, when GM can make a 0 polution car and dosent, then the gov should shut them down. This is now, global warming is a lie to control you, make you feel guilty of a crime, when the real criminals are the govs and corperations. Give the people what they want, not what will bring more profit, use the tech, and stop putting it on the citizen. Youd be doing 10 times your share of the clean up by just buying a couple LED light bulbs, this is what a simple person can do, buy the cleanest burning stuff. Like I said many times, if the earth was the only planet heating up right now, Id say for sure man was responsable, but it isnt, they all are, and really they couldnt mesure another planets temp in 1850, so we have this record of CO2 increes going back eons, but we dont have but maybe 50 years of records of other planet temps. Don't you think when the earths gets hit by a huge solar flare that it dosnt gain some heat overall? That it vibrates our magnetic field and that can heat the core? Its just like a great big drop of water inside a gigantic microwave, think about it. :}

2 Apr 2007 @ 21:43 by swanny : It doesn't matter
heating cooling it doesn't matter the climate is changing the cause is somewhat moot the necessity to adapt to the change is the point. The changing climate is the effect of the moot cause.

Well if anyone has a better or even worse plan I'd kinda like to hear it.

sir

2 Apr 2007 @ 22:08 by swanny : Dylan
THE CLIMATE IT IS CHANGING

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the climate it is changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the climate it is changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the climate it is changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the climate it is changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the climate it is changin'.

2 Apr 2007 @ 22:10 by jmarc : Man has made plans before
to alter cosmic forces that always ended in distruction. Must we have a plan? The best laid plans of mice and men...

2 Apr 2007 @ 22:16 by swanny : No Plan
No plan is your plan okay
Not too crazy about it but maybe that can be plan b

ha ha ha

sir

2 Apr 2007 @ 23:00 by jmarc : well..
not to be contrarian, but in changing times, no plan may be the best plan. Adaptability is the name of the game///

2 Apr 2007 @ 23:49 by swanny : Intelligent Design/Plan
Frankly its hard very hard to conceive that "THIS" is what intelligent design had in mind or heart.

I sort of would guess that intelligent designing and intelligent planning sort of go hand in hand.

3 Apr 2007 @ 00:41 by swanny : Okay
Okay I am not avocating my or a plan so much as really trying to get back to what I see or sense is Natures plan from a human point of view. Call it Natures plan or Plan 1850 it is a return or homecoming of sorts to natures plan and way. I mean its not a perfect example of natures will or plan by no means as I am only a fallible human at best but at least it is ??? well I am just doing what a simple man might try to do to assist in a troubling or challenging time.

3 Apr 2007 @ 16:09 by swanny : 1986
Lies on couch
well doc it all started in 1986 when this tornado hit Edmonton where tornados weren't even heard of or even mentioned in the previous 40 years of my life.
I was fast asleep when it hit and it came within about half a block of me.
I woke and the place was a mad house and 15 or 16 people had been snuffed and the whole city was in an uproar. I when out to assess and well it was strange
and I haven't been the same since... strange to that two days before it hit my 97 year old grandpa looked at the sky and said "tornados coming"..

am I goin crazy doc?

it was different to follow the path of destruction that led right up to where I was and then bingo gone

funny thing was that 3 years before I had had a kind of lucid dream about the very sort of thing and the very same place that I was at...

whats it mean doc?

sir

3 Apr 2007 @ 16:30 by bushman : Hmm,
Im not a doctor, but I play one on the internet. :}
It might mean your a "Watcher", one who bares witness, unto the creator. Got your clipboard and pocket protector? It used to trip me out too, but now Im used to it. Trick here is to keep your digi cam on you at all times, so you can proove what you saw. Like yeasterday I had to hit my Po Box, and next thing you know theres this Chipmonk running across my dash, then looking at me at the open window, and it said, "Um could you please slow down so I can get off?" I said, "I should make you jump, since you should of known better not to fall asleep in my truck". But, I figured the 6 mile trek back to the house was punishment enough, and pulled off the hyway. But then maybe that was the Chipmonks plan? lol
