2 May 2007 @ 01:58 by bushman : Hmm, 2 May 2007 @ 02:43 by hgoodgame : You can't forget what you need to know. It's not in books, in in yourself. Dig deeper. Find that buried treasure. It ain't over till it's over! ;) 2 May 2007 @ 03:04 by swanny : The Reasoning Arguement How can it be otherwise when the democratically elected authority turns and imposes the power and right for itself to be an unrealistic, in denial, unreasonable and arbritary authority in matters of the global welfare of life and law on the planet. There can be no real true evolution or global benefit in an atmosphere beret of any real reality, truth and justice, in addition to the penalty of short mandates that tend to afford and encourage only short sighted and patronage gains that preclude any additional time, efforts and benefit for the public, planet and future. Such a system and process is rightfully and fundamentally doomed by flawed design, oversight and veracity and only endures by virtue of rewarding its own corruption and sins. If good, just and right principles and truths are not abided by and kept, after all, then one, then we, have nothing, nothing I say. Alfred 2 May 2007 @ 03:53 by vaxen : Ed! Don't you ever ever ever ever ever, not in a thousand, not in a million, not in a quadrillion years, give up! Not ever! The end of any Democracy is "ALWAYS a DICTATORSHIP!" Study history, and do that really well, and you will see why the so called 'founding fathers' wanted a Republic! A Republican form of Government, guaranteed, which protects the individual right to be self governing and self determining! You've, somewhere along the line, been fed a load of chicken s**t and think that it is the gospel truth! Inquire into the "Act of 1871," for starters, then go on to 1913, and the establishment of the federal reserve banking system, central banking, then delve deeply into the writings of the fathers (I do not mean the Pirkei Avot, but that wouldn't hurt either) such as Thomas Jefferson, and his opinion of 'central banking,' and what it would do to the new Republic if it were to become the norm. Contrast that with the Hamiltonians, read the Federalist papers, for example, then see what you come up with. The American people have been lied to almost from the get go. You are on the eve of Martial Law! That's the point of all the hullabaloo about the so called 'Middle East, Iraq, Iran... The establishment of a military dictatorship right under your noses as the boob tube, et al, lulls you to an even deeper sleep. Hey, Ed, the Republic never went away. The shell that hides it is cracked and cracking... so, The next few years could get rough, so what? Remember why you came here, and who you truly are! You're awesome, spirit! Now shine along with the rest of us! What do you have to lose? A body? Ha! We've more where that one came from. Many more... So, stand up and fight. Be proud, and let's win this thing, this time around! RA ;) 2 May 2007 @ 03:58 by vaxen : Oh... And remember this, too: "It's not over till the fat lady sings!" 2 May 2007 @ 04:17 by swanny : Yes... Yes the point Tis better to be dead then to live a moot and meaningless life with no principles or truths. here here... ed :) 2 May 2007 @ 11:05 by swanny : ... I quess it was just a really low spot on the road it did bring stuff up though... It is the acknowledgement that what "gives" life meaning and hope is "principles and truth" and that without that we are and have nothing. Look at Christ The cruxifiction was the test, will he surrender his principles for the sake of his life? What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul /life? It is a very deep insight .... The Rolling Stones said "lose your dream and you will lose your mind" But Christ said it before them "lose your truth and principles and you have nothing not even life. In a way then it is our principles and truth that are life and hope and without that then we are worse off than the animals and plants. Now whether the animals and plants have principles and truths is hard to say but I know a lot of people who had principles but for one reason or other gave them up for other things. To me Christ is saying though no don't give up your principles and truths cause thats what gives your lives purpose, meaning, hope, and love. That is what marks you as a unique creature of God. I think Ghandi came to realize this too. 2 May 2007 @ 12:45 by swanny : Mind you... Mind you in a just and decent world and society you wouldn't be forced to choose between your principles and truth and life itself, as all would be revered and respected. ed 2 May 2007 @ 13:06 by swanny : The Question The Question I suppose the question that remains is then what "prevails"? Did or does Christs' prevail or Christs' Principles and Truth? Did they, do they... Did he not say "this earth will pass away but my words they will not pass away but endure forever" We must ask then what prevails for me, for you, for us. Could we have got this far without them or without principles and truth? Are they not the foundation of our now? One that we have perhaps strayed a little far from at times and build a house of cards of sort upon. Christs' principles and truth and words still rings true though don't they at least mostly it seems. ed 2 May 2007 @ 13:19 by bimbo : Change the perspective ! Being disappointed is all about perspective ! Ever thought that maybe your perception of the matter is what's causing your disappointment and that you can control this ? If the universe is not behaving the way we believe it should behave...we sometimes get pissed. We think it is the universe that is wrong because of how we feel personally! Stepping back and changing 'focus' helps us to realize that the way things turn out are the way things are supposed to turn out, whether they are in line with our beliefs or not... [link] . 2 May 2007 @ 13:42 by swanny : no... its okay no its okay this was necessary to arrive at some reconciliation with past grievance buried deep deep in the land... back to the time of the crossing and the discovery of this land the Americas and the treaties. We have all harmed the land...and the crimes committed on these lands before our birth. If the land has no peace then how can we. Before us is the lands and the waters and the trees and animals and air. hmmmmm what am I saying? I ask to be forgiven for my and my peoples sins. Sweet gracious land ... we do not deserve you and we are not worthy of you yet you indulge us still. Why? Is this the "Grace and Mercy and Forgiveness of and by the Land?" yes spring has come once again... ed 2 May 2007 @ 18:17 by hgoodgame : Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday.. No one knows.. she comes and goes. How appropriate a song for this thread! Thanks Swanny.. It's not always as easy as simply changing our perspective. There are still issues that must be addressed. Had Ghandi or Jesus changed their perspective, the outcome for us all would be different. We each must decide what is important enough to us and take a stand if necessary. Principles, truths, our bright and shining dreams ~ like a healthy world at peace, are worth going into battle for no matter the outcome.
So keep on fighting the good fight, you are not alone! Got this from a friend yesterday in my email. This guy is funny, can't find the link right now but one of his lines is, 'Be Still and Know That I Am Odd!" hehehe, I can relate! ;) [link] Oh, and you may want to try the Emotional Freedom Technique, these days I experiment with lots of things, can't know until I test it on myself.. [link] 2 May 2007 @ 23:13 by a-d : Hmmmm..... "..... the way things turn out are the way things are supposed to turn out,..." as in predestined by some Obscure FATE?...?!?!?////// and WHO made that decision for us/on our behalf??? Did that Who ask for our permission? If not, then to hell with that "Who"! THANKS Heidi, for standing up for Universal/IMPERSONAL/slightly inconvenient Cosmic/Divine TRUTH -to which we all have to bow our heads & Hearts one day. That day personal conveniences don't count as/(for???... ah... English Language -and its prepositions!... ) anything at all! BTW, Heidi, I already started to spread the Good News: EFT! : ) D printed it all out for me!... Me too will get into it! Swanny, you say: "... Mind you in a just and decent world and society you wouldn't be forced to choose between your principles and truth and life itself, as all would be revered and respected." That is so beautiful and so profound! We can all do OUR part in creating this as our reality and that's how is spreads! The other day I visited my friend Terry at her House for the first time. She showed me proudly around and told me about her Spring garden-Work. One of the major things she had accomplished that morning was clean out the deads from her Raspberry patch. I felt a sting in my Heart: I had namely decided to ignore MY Raspberry Patch (much bigger than hers... which of course meant more work for me to accomplish the same... ) But yesterday afternoon -after having found some wonderful Red and Black Currants at a nearby Nursery, I decided to follow Terry's example and do the job!... I now have only one quarter left!... therest is done!... and I feel soooooo good about it! : ) Don't ever tell me that our behaviour don't have an impact on others.... I know it does! THANK you, Swanny, for this wonderful thread of Grace (=Insights) from so many Dear Friends! 2 May 2007 @ 23:19 by swanny : Thank you Thankyou all...
