This is a PDF file: [link] 14 Jan 2008 @ 22:34 by swanny : well link won't open Its Jan 2008 and the snow melting here in Alberta Canada for the last 4 days the rivers are flooding in Prince George a 1 in 200 year event we had a 1 in 200 year flood on the river here in 2005 here in Central alberta and 5 or 6 tornado since 1986 haven't seen that before in my years but shucks Im only a half century old so don't believe me ed 15 Jan 2008 @ 00:09 by bushman : Hmm, And you feel that even 200 years is like a suposed norm? can't a 200 year flood last for 100 years? And if lets say, we had a time machine and went back 2000 years what might we see? How about the cause of the destruction of glacier lake Missoula and the major changes that caused? [link] This is USGS take on it: [link] If it wont open then you don't have an adobe reader installed on your machine, or your dialup is really slow and you didn't wait long enough, its only a half a meg pdf file. Anyway the point of the pdf is the graphs, and the html version does not show the graphs. 15 Jan 2008 @ 02:04 by swanny : well I just thinks its good sound management to keep tabs on the global temp if you can, and it doesn't hurt to care about the environment even if theres not much if any thing that can particularly be done to change it. Its good be aware I say and do your bit or live ones beliefs if youre not allowed to do that then theres not much point to life. Do unto the environment as you would have the environment do unto you. 15 Jan 2008 @ 03:24 by mortimer : SideWalk Swami philosophy Swa•mi•nol•o•gy :: A philosophy or method of inquiry based on the premise that reality consists of objects and events as they are perceived in human consciousness and not of anything dependent of human consciousness. In other words; humankind could be the next dinosaurs. 15 Jan 2008 @ 03:31 by swanny : Yikes Yikes thats... a profound though tough nut to crack. But then how do you explain "grace." then again I don't think grace requires an explanation. Not sure how that popped in there... just that to witness grace is to "be graced". but is that "and not of anything...." or "but not of anything..." I think youre onto something though but its comin at me like a real curve ball. 15 Jan 2008 @ 03:43 by swanny : oh Oh I see youre saying humans aren't anything special. Got ya ahhh well perhaps perhaps not... or perhaps everythings special.. 15 Jan 2008 @ 04:16 by mortimer : grammer.. i never studied grammer.
