With the discussion in mind, that NCN members have just recently had on Celeste's Blog, I thought it would be important to make ever more people aware of the MENTAL/ EMOTIONAL =SPIRITUAL ILLNESS that has a tight grip of Mankind.

It has held Mankind in its grip for the last 5-6000 years and only spread ever wider and deeper in our social stratas as they were "built"/orchestrated into being.

ONLY SOCIOPATHS / PSYCHOPATHS COMMITS CRIMES INTENTIONALLY!!!

Profile of a Sociopath from
[ [link] ]
Below the article I have another link, really worthwhile reading for anyone who truly loves America, not the political, but the one made up of Everyday People like yourself.

the article text here in between tells you exactly how we end up in a situation that the link describes.

A number of mind-controlling cult leaders may exhibit many of the behavioral characteristics of a sociopath--an outstanding ability to charm and seduce followers. Since they appear apparently normal, they are not easily recognizable as deviant or disturbed. Although only a trained professional can make a diagnosis of whether or not someone is a sociopath, it is important to be able to recognize the personality type in order to avoid further abuse. These traits also apply to a one-on-one cultic relationship.
*****

Glibness/Superficial Charm
Language can be used without effort by them to confuse and convince their audience. Captivating storytellers that exude self-confidence, they can spin a web that intrigues others. Since they are persuasive, they have the capacity to destroy their critics verbally or emotionally.

***

Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They dominate and humiliate their victims.

***

Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right." Craves adulation and attendance. Must be the center of attention with their own fantasies as the "spokesman for God," "enlightened," "leader of humankind," etc. Creates an us-versus-them mentality

***

Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and able to pass lie detector tests.

***

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
***

Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion, it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

***

Incapacity for Love
While they talk about "God's love" they are unable to give or receive it. Since they do not believe in the genuineness of their followers' love, they are very harsh in testing it from their devotees and expect them to feel guilt for their failings. Expects unconditional surrender.

***

Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge, yet testing the beliefs of their followers with bizarre rules, punishments and behaviors. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal.

***

Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them. Their skills are used to exploit, abuse and exert power. Since the follower cannot believe their leader would callously hurt them, they rationalize the behavior as necessary for their (or the group's) own "good" and deny the abuse. When devotees become aware of the exploitation it feels like a "spiritual rape" to them.

***

Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others. The followers only see them as near perfect.

***

Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

***

Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blame their followers or others outside their group. Blame reinforces passivity and obedience and produces guilt, shame, terror and conformity in the followers.

***

Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Totalist leaders frequently practice promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts. This is usually kept hidden from all but the inner circle. Stringent sexual control of their followers, such as forced breakups and divorces, removal of children from parents, rules for dating, etc.

***

Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future. Many groups claim as their goal world-domination or other utopian promises. Great contrast between the leader's opulent lifestyle and the followers' impoverishment. Support by gifts and donations from the followers who are pressured to give through fear and guilt. Highly sensitive to their own pain and health.

***

Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image and that of the group as needed to avoid prosecution and to increase income and to recruit a range of members. Is able to adapt or relocate as needed to preserve the group. Can resurface later with a new name, a new front group and a new twist on the scam.

Other Related Qualities:
1.
Contemptuous of those who seek to understand them

2.
Does not perceive that anything is wrong with them

3.
Authoritarian

4.
Secretive

5.
Paranoid

6.
Only rarely in difficulty with the law, but seeks out situations where their tyrannical behavior will be tolerated, condoned, or admired

7.
Conventional appearance

8.
Goal of enslavement of their victim(s)

9.
Exercises despotic control over every aspect of the victim's life

10.
Has an emotional need to justify their crimes and therefore needs their victim's affirmation (respect, gratitude and love)

11.
Ultimate goal is the creation of a willing victim

12.
Incapable of real human attachment to another

13.
Unable to feel remorse or guilt

14.
Extreme narcissism and grandiose

15.
May state readily that their goal is to rule the world

The above traits are based on the psychopathy checklists of H. Cleckley and R. Hare. In the 1830's this disorder was called "moral insanity." By 1900 it was changed to "psychopathic personality." More recently it has been termed "antisocial personality disorder." Order: Without Conscience: The disturbing world of the psychopaths among us by Robert D. Hare.

24 May 2007 @ 03:00 by jerryvest : I'm a bit surprised that you don't see
through this monologue, Astrid. Also, labels don't tell the whole story, they are created by the AMA and promulgated by the APA and other mental health workers. All of the directors of the board for the Diagnotic Statistical Manual (DSM) are on the playroll of the pharmaceutical companies, thus they are only describing themselves. So what I am saying, I wouldn't trust anyone or anything that comes out of this group. They are causing great harm to others by planting subjective labels on their patients, with no science to it at all--and they call themselves doctors/scientists.

Here is what a repected medical professional said about this scam:

"Dr. Thomas Dorman, an internist and member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, wrote, “In short, the whole business of creating psychiatric categories of ‘disease,’ formalizing them with consensus, and subsequently ascribing diagnostic codes to them, which in turn leads to their use for insurance billing, is nothing but an extended racket furnishing psychiatry a pseudo-scientific aura. The perpetrators are, of course, feeding at the public trough.” [link]

Anyway, you and I have discussed this issue in one of my earlier logs. Labels even on the foods we eat, who can read the small print - "Buyer Beware?"

Best wishes always,

Jerry

24 May 2007 @ 04:07 by a-d : See, I din't/don't see these as
Diagnosis Labels as much as I see them as description -of REAL BEHAVIOR in our "Top"-Politicians! ... and that was what fascinated me to begin with! I was trying to open [link] but it didn't open then. ( Now it does! )
also check out [link] created by the guy who took on himslef to start helping people in Work places who got bullied to the point of being suicidal out of desperation.
Yes, I still agree that most diagnosis hysteria is just that hysteria to justify selling Pharmaca! There's a lot in Prof Hare's work I defintiely object to! But the description of bullies in ever rising severity of bad behavior is just that :describing someones life destructing behavior, wouldn't you say?

Bullies, the most severe ones 'you' find easiest in the Politics -because their whole life purpose is to be in a position where they can leach on biggest amount of hosts; people and environment plus steal Natural Resources from "Poor" Countries...
But no, I did not see that AMA was involved... Oooppps.. : ) Luckily in this case, I don't see that making any real difference, though it would explain Prof Hare's personal stand in this issue! I don't like any groups hiding their personal bully thing behind religions, political parties, Churches/denominations, "race", ethnicity, titles, gender, Family-names - ANYTHING at all!..we are all HUMANS first and foremost and those things are thee oirginal Smokescreens used by bullies to doope us. It has worked well for them far too long already.A parasite is a Parasite regardless any of these aspects... whether we call them Psychopaths or Sociopaths or Cheney, Bush, Blair, or The Queen or just plain BULLIES!....
or...., what do you think?

Thanks, Jerry!

24 May 2007 @ 14:36 by jerryvest : I have a charge with the DSM so
I am probably overly sensitive about this issue. When the mental health movement was in its developmental stages, I had the opportunity to design and administer a comprehensive mh/mr center in Pittsburgh, Pa. Our team of social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists were very excited about working with others using integrative health practices and primary prevention through education, health promotion, stress management and self-care.

It didn't take long before the American Psychiatric Association established that everyone we offered services, had to be labled with their subjective diagnoses. We protested this sick care system and fought them, but to no avail. Consequently, our health program lost the opportunity to empower rather than treat, and to become partners with those we work rather than operate as a confused mental illness system.

We recognized that those who were identified as chronically mentally ill and discharged from mental hospitals, would be 'treated' by the medical profession as their primary intervention was to treat them with medication and to see them for about 15 minutes every week or so. The psychiatric community didn't know what else to do and it was their responsibility as they claimed to have some theories that improve their patients. (Interesting that the APA is still searching for meaning and purpose. (We never identified the people we engaged as patients, but as clients. They had the right to negotiate a plan and take responsibility for learning how to balance their whole being.)

Anyway, our American mental health system has continued to go down hill and is now a failed system as it was from the moment that they stuck meaningless labels on the consumers of their services.

I have introduced several logs that describe the differences between sick care and health practice so won't go into it here. You and I have discussed and agreed on these issues for a few years now.

To make my point, however, I am going to introduce what Tarthang Tulku says about labels:

Professor Tulku reminds us that "...mind can be our worst enemy or our best friend. It can fool us completely, trapping us in constructs that lead to wasted time, confusion, or misery, while mocking our efforts to achieve our own good; or it can give direct access to all that makes life meaningful. It can strike like a rattlesnake, infecting us with its poison, or it can be our great protector. It has the power to shape our lives, now and in the future. Yet mind itself is a mystery."

I believe that these words of wisdom should guide those who wish to administer therapy and caution those who stick a label on their mental health patients or clients. Perhaps therapists should consider learning more about what Tarthang refers to as "Mind over Matter." This knowledge and understanding requires many years of study and experiential practice is required to learn about how our mind works and responds to questions and interventions. As our experience tells us: "The very experience of closely engaging the mind is deeply refreshing, and that sense of freshness is what counts. It allow us to see our reality and our experience differently and spontaneously releases many of the tensions and concerns with which we usually operate." (Tarthang Tulku, [link]

For those of us who have decided to study our mind with the practice of various meditations, I feel that we can learn much about ourselves, our interactions and our relationship with all that is. As I introduce various methods to my students in self discovery, self care and self assessment I learn that they become more conscious, aware of their actions and begin to enjoy discovering how to be a more effective professional in the helping, engaging and empowering processes.

I hope that this helps clarify my position on the subject of labels.

24 May 2007 @ 17:19 by a-d : Aaahhh, Jerry,
click on this link; hopefully it opens up for you. (Dave helped me to find this -originally showed on Google, who pretty quickly pulled it off the shelves!- Thank goodness it was still possible to get to...) because if this doesn't tell us "how things are" in the so called Mental Health Care, then nothing will.
[ [link] ]
There are NO connections that can be proved in labs; in other words: no chemical connection between biology and Mind that the current "science" could prove, hence rely on!
It is all a question of a persons BEHAVIOR and ACTIONS! Period!... and that is exactly what Jesus also claimed when He said : "By their Fruits (behavior, actions & deeds) will you know them". He didn't say: "God made some this way and others this way" ; which would imply biological differences!
If the link doesn't show, please let me know. Dave managed to get the whole video (from different places in cyber) and he copied /"burned" it on CD. so I can now send it as e-mail to friends if I need/or someone wanted to.

I'm so glad you told about your trials within the Echelons of "Mental Powers" of our Establishment. This really brings to focus what enormous determination and courage it takes from any one, like yourself, who dares to go against the grain and thus challenge the "Sources of Civilization"; the Academia!
Thousand upon thousand of suffering our Elders, sisters & brothers would be in so much worse situation if they had not received your ground breaking Loving Touch therapy!
I really think that only people who themselves tried to battle the System can appreciate the effort of people like you; who has changed the System from WITHIN as much as you -and your friends/colleagues- did! Just a word to cheer you on: "he who loses himself (into helping others), finds himself". Go get'em, jerry, aaaall the way! : ) Need assistance of any sort, let me know!
Let's continue to tare down those labels and wrappings, like flags in whose folds so many crooks still (try to ) hide, eh?
( I could not open the Tarthang Tulku link!.... )
Enjoy your Day!
w/Love your forever-fan A-d

PS: I think this one could be very good for us all to pay some attention. After all; the nore we pay attention, the less we need to pay anything else! : )

Filmmaker Michael Moore's brilliant and uplifting new documentary, "Sicko," deals with the failings of the U.S. healthcare system, both real and perceived. But this time around, the controversial documentarian seems to be letting the subject matter do the talking, and in the process shows a new maturity.

Unlike many of his previous films ("Roger and Me," "Bowling for Columbine," "Fahrenheit 9-11"), "Sicko" works because in this one there are no confrontations. Moore smartly lets very articulate average Americans tell their personal horror stories at the hands of insurance companies. The film never talks down or baits the audience.

"This film is a call to action," Moore said at a press conference on Saturday. "It's also not a partisan film."

Indeed, in "Sicko," Moore criticizes both Democrats and Republicans for their inaction and in some cases their willingness to be bribed by pharmaceutical companies and insurance carriers.

In a key moment in the film, Moore takes a group of patients by boat to the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba because of its outstanding medical care. When they can't get into the U.S. naval base, Moore proceeds onto Havana where the patients are treated well and cheaply.

This has caused a great deal of controversy, with the federal government launching an investigation into the trip, which officials say was in violation of the trade and commerce embargo against the Communist country.

25 May 2007 @ 14:38 by dkill : I havent
read all of the aboves comments but i was only going to say the same thing thats allready been said by both of you. The first thing that popt into my head when reading the artical was that it was describing your president Mr Bush, the second thing was that its just another example of labeling people with so mental illness, but you've allready pointed that out so i can only nod in aggreement with both of you.

25 May 2007 @ 15:12 by a-d : Here is a wonderful
little video clip about "back to Light -Heartedness" : [ [link] ]
Of course, it might not ring true to you 100%, but even if "only" 50% of it feels good, then rejoice, my friend, rejoice! I personally liked this this little clip a lot!

25 May 2007 @ 20:09 by vaxen : Last link...
A good link. And, of course, in that lieu I'd suggest, again, that everyone read Jack Londons' "The Iron Heel." The takeover of America, and our resources, began a long time ago. Indeed, it is my feeling, that the NWO came with the original package.

"In contract law terms, I hereby elect to sue America for specific performance. You don't get out of it that easily, America. You owe me. And I owe you, too. Other than vote against the establishment for forty years, do a little pointless precinct walking for hopeless candidates, handle a few pro bono legal cases for the doomed and the damned and speak out as I have for years, just what have I done to prevent you from being taken hostage by the morons, incompetents and criminals now running things?

"Hell, No - I Won't Go

"This happened on my watch. I have a duty to help fix things when, finally, the rest of America catches up and sees the view from my vantage point.

"So - send me a postcard if you choose to leave. I do understand and never will blame you for leaving a sinking ship. I'll just stay behind and help rearrange the deck chairs for now. But ... Hell, no - I won't go!

"I have work to do and I'm just getting warmed up.

"It's too early to shoot the bastards, but I certainly advocate being ready to shoot back, just as our forefathers shot back near the Lexington Bridge, more than two hundred years ago. Though they already are imprisoning and killing us simply for being dissidents, we cannot shoot back until they start openly killing us in the streets." --- J. Edgar Steele

25 May 2007 @ 20:18 by vaxen : An after thought...
"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. When you give up that force, you are ruined."
--- Patrick Henry

"Necessity is the plea of every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves."
-- William Pitt, Speech on the India Bill, Nov. 18, 1783.

"A tyrant... is always stirring up some war or other, in order that the people may require a leader."
--- Plato,The Republic (circa 380 B.C.)

26 May 2007 @ 05:25 by a-d : Thanks, Vaxen-Dearest! : )
What ever we can do now -or not- on the Socio-political stage, can not hinder us from doing our Inside Job: say out loud your "NO" to UNIVERSE to their evil, plus OBEY Y/OUR Inner Promptings that might come to 'you'. It is imperative that we all do this because it WILL make the Confrontation less confrontational, a little less war-like... But if or when that day comes when an Outside Job is necessary to do with guns etc confrontationally, I hope we all will be as ready for that!
IF enough of us say NOOOOoooooo and obey our Inner Guidance the less the Outer confrontation will be! The tyrant will be there all alone, with no one to lead, since we all allowed Universe to lead us!... when/by obeying our IP's! ...
