27 Aug 2008 @ 20:23 by rusyn : Hello Martha 28 Aug 2008 @ 14:42 by martha : Thank you rusyn For your thoughtful post. Yes it is all about love and maturing our way of thinking. I know the above article tends towards the negative energies of humanity but I wrote it that way so one can see the contrast when I talk about New-Style thinking. I hope you enjoy your time here at NCN. It is a diverse group of individuals. We are all here for a reason even if at times the connections are not obvious. I respect your need for privacy in your profile. I notice many people who enter here prefer it that way. That is OK. Again thanks for taking the time to read my message and comment. 11 Sep 2008 @ 22:35 by martha : 9/11....7 years later Bless those that died 7 years ago. Tears still come to my eyes and my throat tightens when I think about those planes crashing. Life is eternal and I do hope the loved ones left behind have made peace in their heart and spirit. Love never dies only transforms. I also think about Pearl Harbor, WW II, The Cold War, Vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan and all the killing that continues in our world. I understand why we have to protect ourselves from hate. I do not understand the Patriot Act and why Americans have lost so many freedoms. I do not understand why the president thinks it is OK to torture people or invade another nation (Iraq). I do not understand why those running for political office think it is OK to talk nasty unkind stupid speak about their opponents. I do not understand why we have so many people in prison. I do not understand why we are watching our country falling apart and almost no one wants to do anything. I do not understand why so many are polarized into black and white thinking, going with the crowd or hiding in a box. I do not understand why the media and the politicians generate so much fear talk and the American public continue to support this craziness. Our country and the world will die out soon if consciousness is not changed. I weep for all the children of the world. 13 Sep 2008 @ 21:32 by rusyn : 9/11 Prayers of love and an end of hostilities to all. 14 Sep 2008 @ 16:26 by martha : Yes prayers for peace Yes rusyn, we need more prayers and more love. i do appreciate you pointing that out. 14 Sep 2008 @ 16:31 by martha : Copying others work A wonderful example of Old-Stle thinking rampant on the internet is for bloggers to take others hard work, put it on their blog and not give credit. Sometimes they will even pass it off as their own. Other times they are just too lazy to give credit. Either way it is disrespectful. We already have enough of that in the world. So I laugh when these "stealers" use excuses to hide their OST. It is a fine example of the immature mind. I want to thank them for giving me endless examples, some of them right here on NCN. hahahaha It tells me they really aren't interested in a "New Civilization" but rather business as usual. LOL 14 Sep 2008 @ 19:52 by rusyn : It is what you say, Martha It's also insensitive to steal someone's work. And illegal. Stealing exposes an unenlightenend person. 15 Sep 2008 @ 09:57 by martha : More on copyright infringement Rusyn, it goes beyond insensitivity. It makes me laugh when people blog under the pretense that they are trying to enlighten others yet "steal" others ideas or images. And one is expected to take them seriously? hahahaha I have a close friend of mine that has a web site where she generously shared her writings. Just recently she discovered that someone had taken some of her writing and printed it in a book without her permission and sells the book on Amazon. All her writing is fully registered with the Library of Congress and has been for many years. Evidently that didn't stop the "stealer" from trying to make money off her hard work. She is now in litigation to stop the book from being sold. People who steal will defend themselves thinking if it is on the internet it is free to take and use. Excellent example of OST. Furthermore they will attack and insult anyone that might question what they do. I have seen this many times and have been on the receiving end of their anger and denial. I have also caught people taking images and writings from my site and using them which is why I am sensitive to the entire subject. One could come to the conclusion that maybe it is best not to be creative and share on the internet. It is this small group of people that sours the internet. I notice most people just shrug and turn a blind eye...OST...Unless it happens to them they don't care. And that is the core problem...lacking empathy. 30 Oct 2008 @ 17:42 by martha : Political Ads The political ads this year for the senate race in North Carolina are excellent examples of OST. Elisabeth Dole is approving an ad that calls her opponent's backers "godless Americans". Her righteous intensity to appeal to the religious right is insulting to the intelligence of the voters in her state. She is also running a fear campaign and implies that by voting for her opponent the liberals will take over our country and it will be the downfall for America. Most of the ads in NC are nasty, negative and insulting. What is wrong with these people....They continually appeal to those that want to stay in the box and attack those that don't agree with them. The positive ads that actually state their positions on subjects are few and far between. This is the first state I have lived in where religion is part of the campaign! Most of the presidential ads are not much better.
