One way you could look at it is whatever goal God has for the universe, or it is the general 'direction' of the gradient down which the universe is headed. Another angle is that it is the sum total of all goals of all people. People's core desires are never truly incompatible, (All goals are one,) so 'The Goal' is universal self-actualization. Perhaps most pragmatically: 'The Goal' is an alamgamation of Your goals.
