Simply a memory of my first Wife.

Kernerewek.

By the river in Richmond.
(For Eileen Kelly.)

We courted on these banks, you an I
Crushing lush Richmond grasses
Much has changed since then,
The long years here with me.
But what has not changed
Is the imprint of our laying,
How young we were then.
You not yet a virgin Bride
Weighed by passion-Temptation.
I knew you as innocence
Shy tremble, soft breathing.

June 1988. Richmond Thames side. London.

Yes, the imprint of every moment remains forever, as if the time had stopped.
I was in Richmond some years ago, I remember having lunch there in a beautiful park, in one of the few sunny days we had that summer.
