starving, needy, i hang out with the energized...

i steal what i can not have
i covet what is clearly yours
osmosis is my friend
i live in the deep end

i swallow your air
your fine delight and beat
i borrow greedily
i swim in your ferocity

myself, a dry sponge
i drink your sweat and tears
i birth your lusty dreams
you think i'm me, but i'm you it seems

But, the homeland beckons
Where people still share
Before Plantagenant invasion
Laid bare Angle Isles
In trying to Get On

In the homeland
they had already arrived
and knew how to stay
Even threatened from
over the borders
those who wanted to take away

But in the homeland
they knew how to stay
Can we learn to keep it that way
Shun I no, prefer kinder worlds
