Every Thursday at 8 pm will be an open mic/arts and entertainment networking event at Carly Rae's on the corner of First and Oak st! It's a beautiful spot, with the perfect environment for a Speak Easy. Once a month, we will host a showcase with local art, a featured poet, and a featured music act followed by open stage. The awesome news is that the featured artist, poet AND musician will be paid! HURRAH! One giant leap for the open mic community! The featured artists, etc will be chosen from those that attend the open mic throughout the month.

Yesterday, I suffered a very traumatic experience disguised as a
blessing. My son's grandmother took me out clothes shopping. I was
ecstatic! It's been years since I've really gone clothes shopping for
myself. What a blessing! I didn't even know where to start. Well,
turns out we started with the basics, and by basics I mean TORTURE
DEVICES.
We headed to the mall for bra shopping. That's right fella's. Bras,
Boobie Slings, breast resters, tittie transports, bosom bindery,
mammary manacles. God, I hate bras. Or, maybe I should say Bras hate
me. I just bought new bras last spring and they're near useless. Upon
suggestion, I visited a new store. I was told they have nice durable
bras, even pretty ones, for the blessed . How's that for a slogan?

The
Descent after Ascent
Last week, I spoke of
settling back into me after floating around the last couple years.
Remember, as you encounter new things and seek to process them: it's
all part of the journey: all part of the show.
A spiritual journey
through life is like being in a theater. You sit in the audience
watching the players on the stage. You enjoy the show, watching it
time and time again. Every time you watch it, something new speaks
to you or stands out. You start to hear things that call to you.
However, eventually you become bored with the same old show. You
start to dream of being one of the players on the stage and what it
would be like. You get bored with dreaming and become restless.
Some things in the show start to give you the idea that there might
be more. Your eyes begin to wander around the room, and you see a
curtain you never noticed before. You walk over and pull it to the
side, revealing a staircase. You look around the theater, which is
all you've ever known. You look at the players on the stage going
on with their show. You take a deep breath and leave, following the
staircase upward.
Dream
well, dream deep and may all paths lead you back to the heart.

Drawing
closer to someone that has stood out in my perception for about a
year now has presented me with a key, leading to moments of complete
clarity and honesty begging acceptance. I've
been faced with some very clear reflections about myself that were
unexpected and even quite unpleasant to see, but recognizing them
allowed me to release the bad information stored within me. In order
to release things within us, we have to experience them or see them
clearly and name them
How
can we free ourselves from the fears we hide from? By accepting the
keys presented to us. Keys are people, things, and experiences that
open up the doors within us.

our very core, we are love, and the natural state of being is to let
that love flow into the world around us. Instead, we allow fears and
doubts to keep us from doing that as they present an illusion of lack,
incompetence and need. The truth is that the love within us is
abundance and when let loose, will flow into the world around us.
Love is giving:
Remember the difference between lust (want, need, desire) and love.
Love is giving to others and to ourselves. Love does not need to own or
possess in order to give. Love has no expectations of return.

IT
is my future – me pulling me, guiding me. I create a future vision of
myself and am then guided towards that vision. I put the walls in place
to flow between. I can change them at any time, but it takes breakdown
and recreation.
Magic
is not about shifting the world. It is about evoking the image in a
person's mind, thus allowing them to do the shifting on their own.
Everything flows from our heart core, but we put up walls to block that flow.
I love watching people pray. I love watching them pour themselves into what they love doing.

created within ourselves by building walls of fear. The resulting
lack of energy to a certain part of us creates illusions of need,
being powerless and expecting others to provide our needs in parts
of our lives. These critters' existence depends on our belief in
their illusions, so they draw our attention to experiences that
support their illusions, so they can continue to feed on our good
