Although I think the hills of South/Southeastern Ohio are beautiful, I can't get that same sense of space down there that I get up here.

Spring is here now. The lovely weather helps diminish my disdain for the people here:)

I mean, above and below where the glacier skidded to a stop are like 2 different worlds in some places. But, I'm sensing this Spring is going to be absolutely stupendous! Spring in central and southern Ohio is a main reason to stay in this place. It starts a bit earlier in March (getting fuzzier now with climate change) but shifts gear with the daffodils and forsythia...and by the time there's redbud it just keeps on coming...and goes on and on. You might want to get yourself to a piece of the country soon just to take another look around, buddy.

Beautiful Lies, Ugly Truths and the Answer to an Age-Old Paradox : Blaiming the Perpetrator!?!

2007-08-31 04:32: comment by a-d on "Beautiful Lies, Ugly Truths and the Answer to an Age-Old Paradox ":
how do you do that????.... And to let justice have its day IS growth!
"It IS easier in todays world to have a voice for your truth; on your own web-site , for instance, or in a chat room.... but as far as the ability to feel truth resonate within you, I think is a Divine Gift -and has always been part of the Cosmic Make Up in the Cosmic Being called Human, just like Intuition, Inspiration, Instinct etc.

"The shift" is the fact that today people , who just thirty years ago, would not have broken loose and away from their "Cirles" actually do so today -in ever bigger numbers! PUBLICITY has made space for this to occur.

(the Good Die Young" was faaar tooo much implemented in "Earlier Days", on those guys who dared to try! Sure.... Good People still "Die Young", but not necessarily the ones who brake away from their Groups, but over all Whistle blowers, Dissidents and such )

Beautiful Lies, Ugly Truths and the Answer to an Age-Old Paradox : A shift?

It's difficult for me to ascertain whether this is just a characteristic of youth or whether there is something special about my generation. It could have something to do with the almost total breakdown of the family unit which causes people to be what's called "ego-distonic." In other words, their egos are rooted in their anima/animus, not their bodies. This affords them viewpoints that your normal, run-of-the-mill earthling doesn't regularly access (supposedly until later in life).

As far as this "blaming the victim"-Charade, it seems that people they either blame the victim or blame the perpetrator, both viewpoints preventing any opportunity for growth. It's no mistake that Geoffrey Filbert listed Innocence as man's third worst enemy (after drugs and self-pity). Nietzsche should be standard reading in every classroom in the country.

People today are ready to see through the "Blaiming the Victim"-Charade and not willing any longer to take on that yoke of emotional crippling!
Has anybody else noticed this?

Blood for Oil: Clarifying a Half-Truth: Nom de plume

Slowing down the people movement rate worldwide, everyone left standing on their own two feet. Now is the time to be at the right place at the right time. Improved person to person relations, power to the people, at last. Swings and roundabouts. Certainly the Euro is up at the moment, and the dollar down. One downside in the UK which is already being cited, the reduced number of touring visitors to these shores. A huge slice of the economy is geared to visitors by the service industries in a swing away from real industry and farming (they culled most of the cattle population to reduce the UK role in dairy production during the last foot and mouth epidemic, a conspiracy here for some reason). So perhaps with less visitors there will be a swing back to local production?

As far as what to do with sunken dollar? can't really say.

Again, it's that idea of 'freedom to' rather than 'freedom from.'

You also said, "plugging into what is beyond it." Nice. I read an extremely related quote today.

Chuang Tzu said of Lao Tzu: "He is a just man who regards all parts from the point of view of the Whole."

2007-02-17 22:18: comment by ming on "Free Will in Drag":
"Yet free will is in fact the only thing thats going on" - that's a great way of putting it.

But eternally puzzling, when we've accepted being a player or a piece in a game. We're following so many rules, in order to stay in the game. But, yes, the start of something more is to realize that it always is a choice, even if you do choose to follow the rules.

We keep it really hard, by hiding from ourselves that we're hiding from ourselves what really is going on.

But the coup de grace is when we can remember, when we can become conscious of having a choice, while still playing, and we can expand the game. Infinite game playing. Or even become conscious of the whole thing, plugging into what is beyond it. Enlightenment.

He said that freedom begins when you realize that someone else is writing your story, and you grab the pen and begin writing your own. (That someone else, of course, being our conditioned selves versus our pure selves, in my interpretation). Love T.
