A Practical Tip from a Taoist Handyman


On the occasion of my 59th birthday, and also my twin brother's, I would like to give a present to my friends at NCN and anyone else who will accept it.Most of my articles are theoretical and take a long time to make an impact, but something of a practical nature has immediate relevance.

This tip concerns bringing apparently "dead" batteries back to life. I have discovered that if you gently throw a battery up in the air a couple of feet, when it has stopped giving energy in a torch etc., it somehow unlocks the energy which still remains in the battery.
This works for most batteries ( not rechargeables) and prolongs the life of the battery for quite a long time. No one knows why this works, but it does. Be careful when the battery falls to let it drop on something soft such as a bed or cushion, so as not to damage it.

This tip should come in handy, I have not bought a new battery for quite a few years.

when everyone had those little pocket transistor radios, we used to put the 9v battery in the freezer to revive it after it ran out of juice. It didn't last too much more after that, but it was a good temporary fix.

i forgot to mention that you have to throw the battery up in the air more than once. I usually do it 13 times

Ya, the physics is the same as dropping a small magnet thru a copper pipe, it generates a reverse magneticfield, causeing the rate of fall thru the pipe to slow down.

well what kind of blue, ie.
"Turquoise blue perfect Turquoise Blue in slender orange shades of glowing twilight sky"
colorize it more perhaps or not

I have just reactivated a friend's calculator that hasn't worked for many years, with an integrated battery that couldn't be replaced, by throwing it up in the air 13 times. You don't even have to take the battery out!
