Every pair of twin primes that I have checked is equidistant from two other pairs of twin primes. For example, 11,13 is equidistant from 5,7 and 17,19. A larger example; 419,421 is equidistant from 239,241 and 599,601.

This suggests both that the Goldbach conjecture is true and also that there are an infinite number of twin primes, since any pair can be considered to be intermediate between greater and lesser pairs of twin primes.

All qualities emanate from the Source/Godhead in pairs (complementary opposites). God contains all opposites, that is his/her identity, made up of all characteristics and aspects. That is what an identity is; a collection of characteristics, aspects and archetypes.

We however, are unique individuals, made in the image of god/dess as many spiritual traditions testify. But whereas god/dess has all attributes, we ourselves have individual, separate identities which make us unique individuals. We each have a large, but limited, collection of characteristics which combine to make an identity.
What we do with our identity, our unique collection of characteristics, is up to us. We can develop and grow and enhance it and become more god-like, or we can negate and destroy and deny aspects of ourselves and degenerate into one-dimensional people and fascists.

An interesting corollary of this teaching is that since homosexuality/ being gay is a human attribute it must also be part of the divine nature. God/dess is Gay as well as Straight is an interesting observation for these times.

Points of Symmetry: Grieve's Twin Prime Conjecture

My twin prime conjecture of August 2008 implied the idea that among primes, and particularly twin primes, there was some sort of symmetry. I have referred to this as "Points of Symmetry", and used it to understand why there are always at least two pairs of twin primes between consecutive primes squared.

This is my first effort at demonstrating these points of symmetry and suggesting a general formula. The high correspondance of primes in these examples suggests an almost perfect symmetry.

If N is an odd prime square it and divide it by 2 and round down to the even number. For example, 7 squared is 49 and when we divide by 2 we get 24.5 which we round down to 24.

24 =11 + 13
24 =7 + 17
24 =5 + 19

Another simple example will show the potential of this formula:

11 squared =121 which divided by 2 = 60.5 which rounds down to 60

60=53+7
60=47+13
60=43+17
60=41+19
60=37+23
60=31+29

There are obvious links here between the twin prime conjecture and Goldbach's problem and if you use a Goldbach calculator to find the number of pairs of primes that combine you will find that numbers generated by my formula give an exceptionally high number of pairs.

For example 420 gives 30 pairs, which is remarkably high. 420 =29 squared/2 rounded down.

I will leave you to investigate further.

It is a process of enrichment and from all accounts derives from the indigenous clan societies which predate civilization and some say will survive it. My own version of this non-linear, non-abstract, non-conceptual system is as follows:

(1) Use the mind's powers to create images and make them as vivid as possible.

(2) Use the power of association to connect these images to one another. This is a process of enrichment by association.

(3) Connect the enriched images to the Archetypes of God ( what Plato called Forms and Jung called Archetypes) in a form of Symbolism.

(4) Use volition or Will to implement your aim, whether memory, personal growth, divination or magic(k).

It is my belief that it is only when we are using all of the mind's powers combined together, such as sensation, emotion, reason, intuition, concentration and Will that we achieve a unity that can effect our aims. Yet the "abstract concept" is a completely reductionist, "stripped down" version of reality. As perfected by Aristotle this system is the basic building block of our science and way of thinking. Yet creating abstract concepts from reality is a process of sensual impoverishment of thought and leaves us with skeletons, devoid of contradiction, of what is in truth a vastly rich and complex reality.

Some thinkers in the past( e.g. Marxists and Hegelians) have oddly enough asserted that "abstract concepts" are in fact richer in content than the original reality. To me this does not make sense. Abstraction is a form of reductionism and taking away (Abs-tract), a form of alienation which was a precursor of the even more reductionist and alienated "Cartesianism" and modern science.

But throughout the civilization period, individuality has been, according to the view I put forward in that previous essay, a debased form which we know as narcissism, completely over-Yang: a morbid, pathological version of individuality which is ultimately destructive.

In that previous article I spoke of the coming of a "reformed individuality, shorn of its narcissism " which would replace the toxic form. It would be a Yin expression.

This, I believe is where the Information Age aspect of post-modernism comes in. In some way that is not immediately clear or obvious, the blogosphere, noosphere, psychosphere, Akashic Field (or whatever) represent the reformed individuality just referred to. I would like to call it "Integrated Individuality" and to suggest that as we contribute to our blogs and newslogs and e-books etc. we are developing our individuality away from the old toxic form into a more positive direction, overcoming our narcissism, and creating the Mind of God.

Post-modernism is also the "Post-Civilization Epoch".

I have also suggested that in the transition from tribal/clan society to civilization there was a major contradiction between identity (Yin) and individuality (Yang) in which individuality, in all its many forms, triumphed and destroyed the very basis of tribal society; social, economic and political.

The wheel has come full circle and now, at this end point, we have an exactly analogous situation.
