Ọṣun (or Oshun, Oschun) in Yoruba, is a Orisa (pure potent potentual of Joy) that prevails love, intimacy, beauty, wealth and diplomacy.



This triangle has to do with relationships and balance. Each individual has tendency to be stronger in one area than the others. For instance, one can bring more ‘’Financial’’ support into a relationship and another individual maybe brings more ‘’Emotional’’ support into a relationship etc. Using this template, if a couple was to map out their strong points as individuals, then overlay the two triangles together, they can better see where to focus energy and maintain balance as a whole.





That’s not exactly how Osun said it to me but maybe you get the point.

Triangulating relationships also ties in with respecting the boundaries. Couples should consider the potential consequences of testing the boundaries of monogamy. We have observed that very few couples survive polyamorists relationships.

U.S. Divorce Statistics: [link] ~ the peak was at 5.3% in 1981, according to the Associated Press (although we know that does not account for all those who could not afford a divorce, the number is still low). A divorce usually has to do with crossing the line in some way, hence boundaries.

Also note: This triad a can be applied to any relationship, friends and family. Example: the old jazz musicians I play with cannot always unload their gear, so I help them and they often tip me some gas money.
