Emotional Art: The River

I see the word ''transcend'' going around lately, for me it is more of integrate and resonate. Because of all this unified theory stuff going around, there is a story I want to share. I feel life stories are important to share.

My uncle is a Christian minister and long time ago we were visiting together. During our dinner together he proceeded to try to convince me ... exact words "you better get your feet towards god"... (I'm thinking hmmm where is god not?). Next he went into great length to explain to me that my African drumming would condemn me to eternal hell. He went into great details that were more than incredible; I mean he knows his bible stuff ok. He said that my friend Osun would forever be stuck to the earth, condemned to eternal hell and never going to heaven. I’ve heard that from the higher than earth guys before. So I went to my friend Osun and told her about this, amazing thing happened, she started to glow. When I ask her why she was glowing, she said that was her destiny, to be a Water Fall that leads to a River. And she went on to show me that the earth is a wonderful place to be stuck forever.

Now, I see these guys trying to push the concept of transcendence lately and I am reminded of these moments that I shared with Osun. My path is more about integrating and resonating. And the thing about heaven and hell, well that’s here and now, life is what you make it.

Tell your uncle that he never has read the 'bible.' I doubt he speaks one word of Hebrew, though he might, but I don't know that to be the case though it sounds like the typical "Christian, hellfire and brimstone, inanity. If Christos (Obatala) came into their churches they'd try to murder him/her/it all over again.

Transcendance is nothing new, of course. In the 60's everybody was transcending. Heh, heh I tend to take the compound word apart into trance end-ance. Or Trance end dance. Thanks for this beautiful little vignette, mortimer. Oshun is loveliest of all, eh?

Each Orisa has all the Orisa within, so for example the aesthetic attributes of Obatala would be Oshun.

to see Vaxen here as well. I don't see anything wrong with transcending our egos as they represent our ability to be in a society that does not operate within the Laws of Nature, but rather attepts to protect us from those who do not transcend. Anyway, perhaps we can evolve and become what we were intended to be from the beginning--free, healthy human beings. These religious fanatics are just ingnorant and stuck in their historical, image and analytical egos. Why are they so fearful of living and of being free from their patterns of conditioning?

jerry san, do not allow for outside the box beingness thus must harness them and kill them because in the book, written word, there can be no change...Goals, Problems, Mass...

However when the multiverses we create are our books then things don't remain so stagnant. Good to see you too and I've been wondering how your work with the Vets is coming along?

Found a man in Britain doing similar work with British Armed Forces personel... with quite the success, too, I might add. Works with PTSD cases and I don't have the url off hand but will get it. He is on twitter, too.

I love that picture mortimer. Where is it from if I might ask?

Thanks, Vax...do let me know what you find out about the Brits doing similar work. It is amazing to us to see our soldiers getting better and well from their stress and trauma. I have now completed over 6 months of intensive work with our warriors and am so grateful that I can contribute to their healing. I truly love these soldiers and know that all of our other staff members feel the same way. I am posting a couple of pics on my website of some expressive art by a couple of our soldiers. I will post more as I obtain their permission. I am not an artist, but some of these creative expressions tell stories that my words can not describe. However, I know that you and my friends here on NCN will appreciate what our soldiers are attempting to describe in their art form. Thanks for staying-in-touch....Jerry

Well Jerry, it seems most people inherently resist change. Books only offer a snapshot frozen in time. The application of eternal truth is always changing.

I stole the picture, Vaxen. Some people say I’m first born Ille Oshun (house of Osun). And that snapshot is of my old god mother.
