Whilst it is worthwhile having the goal of an idealised state of mind to strive for and work towards, trying to define a state that is considered by one group to be desirable for all creates an internal totalitarianism that we don't need. There is actually no one “state of mind” that is desirable or appropriate for all.

What I am describing here is not a “state of mind” of any description, but rather a transcendence from the state of being in the mind at all. Of course on our way to realising this transcendence we need to pass through many states of mind, but there is no one way that will take us all there, each one is approaching from their own angle.

None of the points made here are new in any way, it is just that they are re-interpreted in ways that are relevant to the times we are in.

Having said all that...

An idealised or Utopian state of mind could include the following attributes;

Loving and compassionate.

The mind needs to be fused with the heart energetically, for a number of reasons;

1)the energy of the underlying process by which we come into manifestation enters our being through the energetic centre corresponding to the heart. So in order to reach our full potential our minds need to be integrated with this source of inflowing energy.
2) this energy is commonly known as love and in this form is acts as the 'glue' that binds us all as the one being that we truly are.
3) through our connection with loving energy we are able to relate to each other as equals and to have compassion for each other based upon our knowing of that which we all have in common, namely the underlying source of all that is.

Inclusive and accepting.

In order for our minds to be able to resonate with each other they need to approach each other in a manner that is inclusive, that accepts the 'other' as an intrinsic part of the self. The mind that is able to realise its inherent oneness with all that is has the ability to create situations in which the needs of all are met whilst accepting the diversity of needs that exist.

Clarified and unconditioned.

In order to perceive reality the mind must be clarified, freed from preconceived ideas and conditioning. There are time honoured and reliable methods for realising this state of mind and the wisdom traditions all recommend seeking to attain this state, which is known as enlightenment.

Metaphysically coherent.

Our metaphysics is our framework for understanding the situation in which we find ourselves. It needs to be stable and self consistent, as well as consistent with the fundamental reality which it reflects.

Sceptical.

A sceptical mind is open to the inflow of ideas without becoming attached to any of them.
