 Voting in North Carolina13 comments
4 Nov 2008 @ 15:38
I left at 9:40 am to walk to Brunson Elementary School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to vote. The children get the day off. It is a 5-minute walk under cloudy skies, damp air but not raining. There were the usual supporters out front trying to give me literature, which I declined. There was one person in front of me in line. We vote by paper ballot and ink pen. When I placed my ballot in the voter box I registered as #200 voter. I got my “I Voted” sticker and if I want I could go to Star Buckys and get a free cup of coffee and on to Crisp Crème for my free red, white and blue doughnut. On my way out I gave a thumbs up to the Obama supporters and got a large laugh from them. It took a total of 15 minutes from the time I left to the time I returned.  More >

 Drug Induced Coma5 comments

Doctors, to help those seriously injured, sometimes use a drug induced coma. There are many practical applications for drug induced comas. The following article is about my experience dealing with a friend in a drug induced coma.

"Our natural state of being is a relationship, a tango, a constant state of one influencing the other. Just as the subatomic particles that compose us cannot be separated from the space, and particles surrounding them, so living beings cannot be isolated from each other...By the act of observation and intention, we have the ability to extend a kind of super-radiance to the world."
Lynn McTaggart from the book The Field.  More >

The concept of being an intuitive empath was first brought to my attention by Dr. Judith Orloff, MD ([link]) in her book "Positive Energy".  More >

Why are each of you here at NCN?

Do we really want a new civilization or are we each going our separate ways?  More >

 Matching Energy2 comments

Each person has an energy system and these energies are transmitted to others through actions such as words or speaking or physical gestures. Often they are combined as we interact with each other. The energy you send out is the energy another will receive. It is the energy separate from the words spoken. This energy can ignite the receiver to respond back with like energy. When you respond with like energy you are "matching the energy". You always have the choice to match the energy or not. If you choose to shift the energy instead of matching it, you may shift an angry situation.  More >

New-Style Thinking (NST) has been a term Patricia Sun ([link]) has used for several decades to describe a new way to perceive using both the intuitive and logical sides of the brain. She believes we are a young species and are learning to mature both our right and left hemispheres of the brain to create whole brain thinking.  More >

 I'm Irish-English-German-Native American-Basque-Canadian-American!3 comments

When I make my run for the Presidency I can't wait to read the headlines. I have a very mixed ancestry so the headliners will need to call me 'Irish-English-German-Native American-Basque-Canadian-American". Just think of all the groups I can get votes from since lots of Americans come from these different nationalities. To save the investigators time let me break it all down for you.  More >

Old-Style Thinking (OST) is a concept Patricia Sun ([link]) has been talking about for several decades. It is characterized by fundamentalism, which is a form of fear. Such concepts as "my way is the only way", "you are for me or against me", hating a religious group, suppressing human rights or not allowing a woman to make her own choices about her body are some examples. Our world is filled with Old-Style Thinking causing war, pollution, power over others and the destruction of earth.  More >

Last September (2007) my heart exploded with love as I held my five hour old grandson. I could hardly contain the joy, the smiles and the nearly complete sense of contentment I felt. Flashbacks of love from long hidden memories expanded inside demanding acknowledgment and reconsideration. A fire long dampened began to rise in me. With the rising heat of love I finally had to acknowledge the paradox inside me that had dampened my fiery nature.  More >

My news log is to promote a new way of thinking about problems in life. We are ALL connected.
