thanks for another link - (I still haven't fully explored the others yet) but I just read this and consider myself lucky that I can "get off it" very easily, in fact I can usually 'get off it' before I even 'get on' and am very rarely in that situation. - sounds like pure gobbledygook! lol

Not gobbledegook at all - I understood you perfectly ;-)

I don't think I'd ever be able to say something like “I’m sorry that whatever I am doing is upsetting you. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? I love you.” coz I think it would drive either me or the other person nucking futs LOL
but what I did learn about such a situation is 'The only meaning was the one I had given it.' ... and I'd feel stupid - and then laugh at myself !
then I'd appologise.

Haven't been in a situation like that in years now !
