25 Feb 2010 @ 10:29, by Scotty Browsing around on the net I can't help noticing that there's still a lot of speculation going on about the 'doomsday theory of 2012' that many people believe was prophesized by the Mayans and other ancient cultures ! Can't help wondering what people think the apocalypse is going to be like ! How about if it's quite simply a change in peoples belief systems ? That would be a real change WOW ! Just imagine - getting rid of all the beliefs that cause us so much pain and fear ! Imagine getting rid of habits and attitudes that just don't work for us anymore ! Now that certainly would be dramatic .. it would change the world as we know it today ! Because in letting go of old beliefs that gives us the freedom to choose new ones ! Jeeze isn't that scarey though - coz blimey it's really difficult to imagine life without them ... they're too comfortable and secure feeling ! And then there's the problem of how can one find new beliefs that are going to take their place ?? yeah well that's one of the problems isn't it - we can't see how our new life will work out 'because' of the old beliefs - and that often makes us too scared to let them go !! hmmmm have you ever thought that maybe it doesn't matter what the new life (world) will be like - coz it hasn't happened yet ! We haven't brought it into being yet ! That is INCREDIBLE freedom when you think about it ! The new world hasn't been created yet - so it's up to us to choose what it's going to be !!! We can give up worrying and being afraid coz we've got 'choice' ! The future really does belong to us ! Have faith ! And anyway - the Mayan Calender might be nothing more sinister than the cartoon (above) so instead of wondering wondering change your beliefs and create !!!!!!! (which is what we do all the time actually - now though we can do it consciously ! )

And we can do it whatever which way we choose !  

I've recently started reading the book The Mayan Code by Barbara Hand Clow ..
while much of it is over my head ( all the numbers - I'm such a dummy with numbers) I find that it's a really interesting look at how the world began - how 'civilisations' suddenly popped up from out of nowhere at the same time in different parts of the world ..
what I find most interesting is the way Ms Clow talks about mankinds coming evolution - in 2012 !!


Even if you think it's all hodgepodge it's really worth reading - just imagine if she's right ! Just imagine what it'll mean if mankind is really really on the verge of evolving ... [link]
