I know some of this news here is a month old, but it is hard to find out what is really going on now all over the world...hmmm wonder why that is happening? What is there to hide?
Please remember...the earth doesnt BELONG to anyone! All this ownership is part of the insanity of materialism, consumerism, greed, power etc...(where will it end, and now the Universe/Space is up for grabs..for power, greed and corruption also. Yes, I am sure the Universe is here for just that very reason. (bit of sarcasm)
ALl of creation is for everyone, and we are here to cherish and serve creation/earth plus how can we ignore that we are all connected and could have paradise on earth...it has to start somewhere...how about with you?...for if not you, then who? if not now, when?

U.S. eyes space as possible battleground --Dictator George W. Bush's plan to expand the exploration of space parallels U.S. efforts to control the heavens for military, economic and strategic gain. Among other things, the Pentagon expects to spend at least $50 billion over the next five years to develop and field a multi-layered shield against incoming missiles that could deliver nuclear, biological or chemical weapons.
Palestinians call it an "Apartheid Wall" whose purpose is to grab land that Israel has occupied since 1967. Designed to loop around Jewish settlements, it cuts deep into land that Palestinians want for a state.
Even Israel's main ally, the United States, has criticized the route. The political sources said Sharon's cabinet chief would go to Washington this week to try to reach an understanding on some of the more controversial sections. [link]

The Israeli DCO reported that on Monday, December 29 (today) at 10 AM the trees belonging to the village of Budrus (Ramallah District) would be uprooted and the land cleared for construction of the Apartheid Wall. Prior to 10 AM this morning, the people of Budrus marched alongside 15 international and Israeli activists to the site of the proposed land destruction. This act succeeded in turning away the Israeli soldiers and border police officers that were in Budrus to monitor the situation, but the activists were told that curfew would be imposed upon Budrus for one week starting tonight if the construction workers were not allowed to complete their work.

Israeli Military Imposes Curfew on Asira, Shoots One Boy;Town of Asira Under Curfew for Last Week - Soldiers ransack village, shoot one 14 year old boy. For the last 7 days, the Israeli Military has been heavily present in Asira, imposing an almost constant curfew on the 12,000 or so residents with a steady stream of noise grenades, gunfire, and deafening sirens. Witnesses describe an atmosphere of constant intimidation, with jeeps constantly roaming the streets, chasing residents into their homes any time they venture out for food, school, etc. Cars, phone booths, and other objects have been smashed or completely destroyed and physical abuse has become regular -- in one case soldiers allegedly shot a neighborhood cat (presumably to intimidate those watching).
