28 Jan 2009 @ 18:26 by spells : From A-d 28 Jan 2009 @ 20:08 by ashanti : Question I really do love the way Matthew writes, so clear. I have a question: What happens if you are an individual, reasonably conscious, aware, striving to become more so, (as you realise you are by no means there yet), but still - you have an awareness of that great Love and Truth that is the infinite One - and the group consciousness around you is very, very low, almost flatlined? That it is a daily struggle to keep your own consciousness awake, when everyone, and I mean everyone, around you is unconscious, living robotically, unquestioning, selfish, for themselves only? You do have some effect, you do plant seeds, and at times, there is an occasional flicker of consciousness in response to your presence, or there is a violent resentment, but by and large, you are dealing with dead consciousness. Your only way of staying conscious is to be an individual, separate, and not merge with the group into unconsciousness. How does one deal with this in a better way? 28 Jan 2009 @ 22:58 by spells : Ashanti This is such a relevant question and I know exactly what you mean by asking this. Rishi says that the best thing to do in times like these is to withdraw your intent elements from the world at large as best you can, reject society (all that is wrong) and raise your consciousness as best you can. Raise awareness... to be more aware and in depth about what is happening around you, how it effects you and what type of action you can take. Raise energy....raise your vibration (through meditation and intention) to a higher vibrating rate so that you are not alligned with the lower vibration around you. If you are not aligned in any way, you will be less influenced by it and able to maintain your higher awareness etc. Raise your intent...so that you it is purer and more effective in staying out of lower consciousness vibrations. These are focuses that can take up much of one's time until they reach a point of inertia where the 3 elements are going in the right direction so to speak. Even though we are aware of these phenomena, we may still have to overcome past inertia in order to stay out of it or above it. By doing these things you will effect the area around you and those that come into contact with you because you will effect them in a "higher" way and you won't be as effected by them as you may have been in the past. THere are many good articles on this in the World Mind Society Library. The Perpetual Raising Series talks of this in greater detail. There are also articles on Intent, the Purification of Intent, info about inertia, etc. If you cannot find the answers easily, please let me know and I will look it up in the library on the WMS website and let you know the specific articles. Rishi isn't with me at the library this time, however I will show him your question and see what else he will add. I will also think on this and see what insights I may share. Thanks for writing and I do hope this is of some aid. 28 Jan 2009 @ 23:12 by ursula : Ashanti I can offer some suggestions to your questions. If it is a group that you absolutely must be involved with, then you can accept where they are in their own consciousness, and focus on your own. You can't make them change - you can only be the example of it. If it is a group you can let go of, then perhaps it's time to do that and move on to a different vibration. When we change, our associations, friends, relationships change. That often brings resentment and confusion to others, but it is the only way to move on. Those who can't accept the new you, will drop away and you will find new people. You don't have to run away from society, or reject it - after all - if we are all one in the larger picture, then you are part of that consciousness, too. We are all one, but NOT all the same. So you'd be rejecting a part of yourself - see? If you understand what it is you wish to let go of for yourself, then do so, but not out of flat-out rejection. Understand it, first. Then you transform yourself to be the you that you prefer to be. 28 Jan 2009 @ 23:28 by spells : clarification Dear Ashanti, No one said to run away from society. I hope you understood the intention of my words. The truth is that the things we allign with will have a greater impact than the things we don't align with, pure and simple. Yes, we are all connected however we can have the awareness of what is right, what is wrong, what is worth fighting for, & what is worth being alligned with, etc. By rejection I mean to see the truth behind what is going on in society and knowing what to actively and consciously be in accord with. If one is aware of their connection, then one can also decide what to do with that connection. For example, I reject Materialism. Not because materialism in itself is so bad, but because of what it has contributed to our society. People believe they are their jobs, possessions, cars, gender, body, mind, (things that are material and physical) etc, the list goes on and on. I reject this notion because it just isn't true. This doesn't mean I expect anyone else to do so, however by my living in truth of how far materialism has gone, and living first from consciousness, I (as you said earlier) plant a seed. This way my intention is also out there and hopefully (for the highest good and greatest benefit) can influence others. The highest good and greatest benefit are always a part of my intention. By looking beyond what people may do, say and act out, I hopefully and with effort live in accordance with nature (which is dying because of our materialism, and wasteful living; because of our materialistic extravagance), in accordance with what our soul's are here to do, (live for a higher purpose and Good) and I live for what is true, even if it means others won't like it. The truth exists even if we don't want it to, or we don't like it. I am running out of time again, here, I do hope this helps to clarify my intent. 29 Jan 2009 @ 22:30 by rishi : Psychic Survival in the Modern Age.... Dear Ashanti, What you’ve asked is without doubt the most important question I’ve ever heard posed on this forum. You asked, What happens to the [aware] individual who is surrounded by the low consciousness of the public, (robotic, unquestioning, and selfish)? Although Spells addressed your question in general terms, I’d like to further amplify it here. This is a very serious matter, one that is impossible to take lightly and still maintain one’s spiritual practice. First of all, there is no question at all that the consciousness of the modern public is indeed very low. It is permeated with fear and pain as a psychic, field-effect, one that can be easily perceived by the aware person at most times of day or night. Likewise noticed by the thinking, questioning person, is the robotic, unquestioning and selfish nature of the consumer world, whose fruits are plain to see…widespread environmental destruction, unnecessary war, insanity and domestic unrest. There are only two ways that anyone could possibly miss the fact that the modern world has gone horribly astray from common sense, let alone truth for its’ own sake. One is through sheer naïveté from living in some sort of an insulated bubble of perception, and the other is through a completely dishonest denial of the world and domestic scene. The point in saying this is not only that it is true, but to re-affirm what this implies for the practitioner. It implies that such a person is an alien within their own culture. The low consciousness of the modern is on a suicide course, and it is composed of people, (the vast majority) who secretly hate their lives, (for good reason) and who deny the truth at all costs, even if that means a quick and painful death. It is this mindset which would rather die of cancer than to really change anything about their lives, who would rather have wars for profit based upon lies, than to EVER employ the energy to challenge the status quo. It is such a mindset that would rather destroy the natural world and everything in it, including the welfare of their own children and grandchildren, than to turn away from their “profit-above-all-else” and “money-as-God” value system. To put all of this simply would be to say that the vast majority don’t value their lives, or in fact, life itself, and frankly don’t care if their actions/lifestyle contribute to the death of all life on earth. All of this does indeed imply that the aware and caring person is an incomprehensible alien within their own culture, and that fact will not change until such a time as the current world consciousness is either upgraded, or the majority of humanity dies off as a result of its’ own self-destructive madness. In essence then, be prepared to remain, “the outsider” even while you are filled with the earnest desire to align with others on a loving and exalted way, and even when you only desire to uplift the human condition. Remember that such a mindset as the consumer world does not wish to be saved…the shallow life of the consumer is a dead end, it creates only an emptiness inside, it stands for nothing, and would, secretly, prefer to die than to change. Use this knowledge and realize there’s only so much that can be done for people who deny that anything is wrong in this paradigm, and who do not wish to be uplifted. “Plant seeds” as you will, but don’t make the mistake of placing your self-worth as a practitioner on the line that is measured by the publics’ awakening. What you said is basically correct….”Your only way of staying conscious is to be an individual separate, and not merge with the group consciousness”. That’s not ultimately the ONLY way, but it is the best way…dis-identification with the consciousness/paradigm of the modern world. Even more concretely, I recommend daily meditation upon the feelings that run throughout the body, as a sum total. FEEL the entire body as a whole, and note those areas which are of a lower vibration, (lower feeling). In accomplishing this, you cultivate self knowledge. Notice then how such feeling(s) change when in the presence of different people, and know this change to be the result of their intent upon you. In accomplishing this, you cultivate knowledge of others. By having self knowledge and (psychic) knowledge of others’ intention, you will be empowered to clearly SEE what is of your own doing, (your intent) and the psychic impact of other peoples’ intent. This is an invaluable distinction, one that will allow you to remain unscathed by the psychic chaos of the world. Having gained such knowledge and being starkly honest about it then, “take psychic action” as necessary. If you are being impacted by another person psychically to negative effect, then do what is necessary to detach that effect, and be unburdened by it. Visualizations can aid such action, but the bottom line of it rests within the feelings that run throughout the body. The body is a psychic transceiver….it sends and receives constantly. We can discuss the particulars of this practice if you like. Another extremely useful practice is what some people call “soul retrieval”, but with a knowledge of intent thrown in. We are constantly sending and receiving information at the energetic, (psychic) level, as I said. If you use your intent to regain this energy, then you’ll find a partial, if not complete restoration of lost vitality. Once again it is necessary to focus upon body-wide feelings. Know that each small area of feeling is, in itself, an input-output point for interacting with others. Start by focusing upon areas that are uncomfortable, in pain or fear. While focusing upon that area(s), take a slow deep breath, and visualize the, “drawing in” or, “retrieval” of energy in to that area, knowing that you are regaining parts of yourself sent out to the world. Do this for at least ten minutes per problem area, or as long as it takes to change the feeling(s) in that area of the body…combine this with right eating and exercise, and you can revitalize any portion of the physical vehicle. It is notable that in the upgrade of any area of the body, the most difficult period is in the beginning of the change. Such efforts will gain positive inertia over time and practice. These are of course, advance practices with many nuances. I would be glad to discuss these in depth if you so wish… 29 Jan 2009 @ 23:42 by a-d : This is GREAT! Thank you so much, Rishi for this! Wish you were here in my House doing /teaching me "hands on" these exercises! but I do get the "pic" of what you mean and to some extent have already been doing it.Confirmation/Validation of doing the Right Thing feels always good to me! : ) Bless you both!/A-d 30 Jan 2009 @ 18:44 by rishi : Intent I'm glad to hear that A-d, and would certainly enjoy discussing the particulars for the benefit of all. From another forum, this comment was an answer to the above post.... Dear Rene, You said, rishi, my question would be if one withdraws - how ever would it be possible to sow anything positive to bring about a positive within any situation? To withdraw is to detach. To be in the world - is reality. To better it - you have to be part of it. ///////// It's an interesting question, and I think alot of this has to do with clear definition. Without such withdrawal, one becomes highly subject to the downcast karma and low states of consciousness of the modern world. First off, what is positive? Let us define what a better world would look like, and then decide just how much involvement that may take. I define a better world as a place of raised consciousness, one that has gone beyond the primitive notions of ethnicity, nation, religion and political affiliation. "God has no religion"...Mahatma Ghandi I have great respect for the written word...it is lasting, can effect millions, and it "stores energy" of mental and spiritual merit. I wouldn't call myself a part of modern society in any meaningful way, and yet, through various articles/postings I've made an impact on world improvement. The reasonable question which follows yours is, "What is necessary to change the current world?" One thing is most certainly deep questioning of all that the modern takes for granted. Another is the freeing of the mind in general...a cultivation of logic, respect for truth and in-depth, critical thinking. Another is self knowledge, and especially, the expansion of consciousness, which includes a greater master of intent(ion). These are necessary prerequisites for world change, what do you say? 30 Jan 2009 @ 19:37 by ashanti : Intent Wow. I tried to log into NCN earlier this week, but had a lousy connection. Had the urge to log in right now, the connection is clear, and there is so much here! Thank you so much! Spells, your intent is crystal, crystal clear to me, your response came from a point of complete understanding, thank you for that. I did not want to go into detail on the specifics, but rather wanted to ask about the energy behind it, and you totally got what I was asking. Your answer was really helpful. Rishi - as I was reading through what you have written here, there is an incedible, and I mean incredible sense of, I don't even know how to put it into words - realness - is the best I can come up with for now, clumsily. Realness. Clarity. Clear, so clear. I am going to copy and paste this dialogue and print it out and read, meditate on it before I comment any further. This is raw essence. Thank you so much! 30 Jan 2009 @ 22:47 by a-d : Spells, Rishi,et al I would like to alert you all to another Blog here on NCN: Raymond Powers' blog and from there click on his private Web-site: "Simple Brilliance." He says so much there (excerpts from the Book he has written "Simple Brilliance") that is soooo in synch with what you say here, Rishi!... so it is almost "scary"! I LOVE that statement: "GOD HAS NO RELIGION" How true , how true! Thank you for that! Thank you Spells for sharing your Insights/Revelations as given by & from the Creative ("HOLY") Spirit to you ( --of course: to be shared! : ) and you did it!... and it is already clearly having ripple effect on Humanity to the Highest Good of All! We need to know both the Dark: what a Humanity Gone-Astray has "achieved" & the Light which is still UN-distorted, Still Pure and Intact in & with all its HIGH VIBRATION Cosmic > Spiritual > Creative Energy. Yet.I have to tell you guys this (again... I know I mentioned this before!...heheheh) what I read on JeffreyIam's blog --or was on his website... He mentions the Earthworm as having much more INTEGRITY than most Humans... for being more TRUE to Its given Divine Mission/ Consciousness ... and you know what guys, when I read it it was totally crystal clear to me how true THAT statement was too! Jeff is yet another one of the really Bright Stars here on NCN! 1 Feb 2009 @ 08:53 by ashanti : Psychic survival There was so much potency in the communications above, I needed time to read, digest, integrate. Walking around on Planet Earth at the moment feels like walking through black tar soup. It is very challenging to keep light (in particular, in my environment). The part that really hit the spot for me was highlighting that you end up feeling like "an alien in your own culture". EXACTLY!!!!! And that is when you begin to question yourself, what is wrong with you, why are you so out of synch with what is going on around you, the problem must be you, it can't be the majority around you. That's what I have been going through. Extreme self-doubt, because I cannot, will not, give in to become like those around me. The other thing that hit the spot was "but don’t make the mistake of placing your self-worth as a practitioner on the line that is measured by the publics’ awakening.". Thats it exactly. Which is why I have been doubting myself so much, and draining myself pouring so much into others, only to have them turn on me and bite. Due to psychic self-protection, I was thus forced to put up a spiritual firewall to prevent further leakage and poisoning of my essence. Withdrawal, retreat, cleanup and complete rethink of what I am doing is in order. Rishi, Sandi, I would be very interested to find out more about the body-psychic-cleaning you speak of. It is clear what to do from how you describe it, but I would like to find out more. I think also, it is time to stop by your Library. I am familiar with soul retrieval, have done it both for myself and others in the past, time to do that as well. I had whole chunks of me stolen over the past 2 years. I would justify in my mind, to myself, and say "thats OK, there is an infinite supply of infinity, and my soul is part of infinity". Indeed, but that does not make the unethical grasping vampirism of others acceptable. Thank you so much, this is REAL help, life-changing and saving help. Words cannot cover my gratitude. AWARENESS, ENERGY. INTENT. Thats it. I have bookmarked the WMS Library, and will be going through it in earnest. Have already recommended it to some friends. And it has been put out there for free - which reinforces the fact that powerful truths are recorded there - you cannot buy truth and THAT fact immediately puts this work above the mass of new age cosmic goo for sale out there. 1 Feb 2009 @ 12:17 by ashanti : Another question It is, indeed, ALL about Intent. Question: what Intent, if any, does one who is unconscious have on one who is conscious? To expand: an unconscious person is anti-life (explained by Rishi earlier). A conscious person is Life-giving. Would the logic be too bland to therefore conclude that an unconscious person would like to extinguish a conscious person, because an unconscious person would like to kill off all life, and anything that has life in it? 1 Feb 2009 @ 20:58 by a-d : Dear Ashanti, this article MIGHT be of help as to clarify the REAL TRUTH of what has been --and still is-- going on in the Human Psyche. JUST REMEMBER that NO DISEASE is MORE CONTAGEOUS than Spiritual > Energetic > Psychic ''http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/home/Frontpage/2008/01/02/02073.html Many of us here on NCN, not least Vaxen & I have been trying to bring this Point across to all NCN readers for years --and we've been faught and miscredited, blamed, slandered, blackmailed and smeared for years by other here on NCN. What you see and feel going on "all around you is the psychic tension between the ever spreading INFECTION of this disease, in your Environment there in SA, just like you see it here on NCN and in the American Society and French society and ANY society ALL FOUR CORNERS of the World! It is time to start taking this VERY seriously and NOT feel the need to continue to be/remain an Apologist for people with this disease, too deep and too terminal in them for them to (even WANT ) to recover. The way you can spot these people is by paying a careful attention WHOM these people defend/support; what actions, deeds and behaviour have those people receiving the defence have committed. A theoretic Example: 'you' feeling the need to defend G.W.B. would tell the World "where 'you' stand in the Spiritual Health and from there on NO MATTER what 'you' say as your efforts to be seen as "The Good Guy" would fool the ones with Eyes to See and Ears to Hear, as it is said in highly high vibrational Spiritual Texts. The Human Psyche ALWAYS defend what it self RESONATES with!.... regardless of all the different "Cultural "Dresses" it come in. The AGGRESSOR: the FIRST OFFENDER, ALWAYS bears the Cosmic Bad Conscience /TRUE GUILT ( as in being guilty OF such & such crime) of its own VIOLATION on LIFE and the follow up the ball( of the violated defending him/herself ad nauseum) rolling from there on!... their (so called) KARMA! There are NO Excuses for this! Once 'you' learn to trust this with NO NEED to be nice to OFFENDERS/ AGGRESSORS 'you' will know 'you' are progressing in your own recovery of your OWN Divine TRUE "ME", which is always healthier (than any previous state we found ourselves in) and for every vibration up higher we climb, the healthier the Me is there!...and just know: PEOPLE ARE ON IT: THE AWAKENING PATH! [link] you might also want to google Ashley Montague; a Child Psychologist, who -- I think-- has a lot of intelligent things to say! 1 Feb 2009 @ 21:42 by rishi : Conscious Dear Ashanti, You asked; Question: what Intent, if any, does one who is unconscious have on one who is conscious? To expand: an unconscious person is anti-life (explained by Rishi earlier). A conscious person is Life-giving. Would the logic be too bland to therefore conclude that an unconscious person would like to extinguish a conscious person, because an unconscious person would like to kill off all life, and anything that has life in it? Rishi; Yes, I would say that such an attitude is typical of the unconscious. The story of history shows it to be true for one thing. Throughout past centuries it has almost always been the revolutionary thinkers, spiritual and social leaders of vision who, if not having been killed outright by the masses, were at the very least the subject of their scorn and disapproval. If those who do not respect the truth cannot outright kill those who do tell the truth, and who are more evolved, then they will do their best to try to kill their message, poison their psychic space, kill their projects and their character. [Christ is a good example of this...imagine how the world might have benefitted had Christ has a life of long years with much opportunity to refine and amplify his message.] Those who dwell upon unevolutionary intent, resent strongly those who evolve and advocate real progressiveness. This is because the revolutionary shows them what they really are beyond all facades, so, rather than face the message of truth squarely, they try to discredit the speaker. This too is the story of history... 1 Feb 2009 @ 21:57 by a-d : VERY TRUE , Rishi! Thanks! for this very pheonomenon there is an anxient old saying:"The Good Die Young"!... 1 Feb 2009 @ 23:33 by spells : Truth as a Guide This is from another forum, but one that is the truth anywhere.... Dear Rene, If in fact the end result is the same or equivalent in the apprehension of truth, then that is well and good. But that is almost never the case, with the modern world being a case-in-point. However, this brings to mind the so-called, "three blind men and the elephant" analogy. The one holding the tail thought the elephant spindly and thin, the one touching the leg thought the elephant sturdy but like a column, and the third holding a tusk insisted that elephants are hard and pointed. In each case the "perception" differed, but that doesn't matter. The elephant remains an elephant, in its' sum and entirety, a truth which ALL of them missed. What I find suspect about this saying is that all the perceivers were blind. Why must this be so? Perhaps they were blind because they insisted their "perception" was correct even though all they had to do was open their eyes to see what was really going on. In any case, the truth remains what it is, regardless of perception, and regardless of who perceives it. It is the truth then, which we as practitioners are obliged to observe, ON ITS' OWN BASIS AND FOR ITS' OWN SAKE. Then and only then will we have even the merest chance to change this world for the better. _________________ 12 Feb 2009 @ 22:46 by vaxen : I'd... like to throw this in here as adjunctive to the general topic if I may: Making others "wrong" is a central aspect of bicameral stage 2. So dinging is quintessential bicameral-stage-2 behavior. The more or less automatic and unconscious reaction of feeling bad or upset after being dinged is also quintessential bicameral-stage-2 behavior. At this time, dinging is a central aspect of most, possibly all human cultures. Young humans tend to engage in a great deal of dinging, sometimes viciously so. My father was a compulsive dinger. For every good thing he said about anyone or anything, he probably said ten or more bad things. He was also a compulsive dingee with a violent temper. He seemed to live in a world full of dingers determined to ding him at every opportunity. If you work at a job, chances are that you get dinged at least once a day. If you have to deal with bureaucrats (both in government and large corporations), you may experience being dinged. You might even get frustrated -- i.e., make yourself feel frustrated! A great deal of dinging can occur on Internet mailing lists and forums. Suppose you're a subscriber of "List X." You consider most of the other subscribers to be educated and intelligent. Some of the long-time subscribers form a kind of "insider clan" or "in-group." You're not part of the in-group. You post something you think important and of interest to the list. Your post is ignored or ridiculed. Some members of the in-group seem to take turns to come up with "clever" ways to ding you. For example, you could post a message about this report. The only responses you get are snide or sarcastic comments, while the essence of your post is ignored. The list may have a "dinging culture" with a significant portion of the posts including some dinging -- or a great deal of dinging. On the back cover of 'Metaphors We Live By' by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson: Take the conceptual metaphor ARGUMENT IS WAR. We say: "He attacked every weak point in my argument:; "Your claims are indefensible"; "I demolished his argument." But as the authors write, "It is important that to see that we don't just talk about arguments in terms of war. We can actually win or lose arguments. We see the person we are arguing with as an opponent. We attack his positions and we defend our own... It is in this sense that the ARGUMENT IS WAR metaphor is one we live by in this culture; it structures the actions we perform in arguing." I expect that by becoming more aware of the dinging phenomenon, and repeatedly dedinging yourself, you can take major steps toward transcending bicameral stage 2. I also expect that by advancing to a more conscious stage, you can become considerably more productive -- see 'The Bicameral Model of the Mind': (a) You have largely mastered your feelings and emotions. (b) You have the ability to critically examine every concept, every thought, every action. (c) You strive to increase your competence in every aspect of your life. (d) You carefully observe the results you produce, using that as feedback to improve your concepts, thoughts, communications, and actions. (e) Producing results is paramount. The whole article, and links therein, is worth reading and re-reading and applying that which rubs off... Here it is: [link] 12 Feb 2009 @ 23:45 by a-d : Wow,Vax! : ) I will try!...I will be working on this:de-dinging myself towards myself as well as others!.... You'll help me,eh?
