France opens secret UFO files covering 50 years

France became the first country to open its files on UFOs Thursday when the national space agency unveiled a website documenting more than 1,600 sightings spanning five decades.
The online archives, which will be updated as new cases are reported, catalogues in minute detail cases ranging from the easily dismissed to a handful that continue to perplex even hard-nosed scientists.
"It is a world first," said Jacques Patenet, the aeronautical engineer who heads the office for the study of "non-identified aerospatial phenomena."
Known as OVNIs in French, UFOs have always generated intense interest along with countless conspiracy theories about secretive government cover-ups of findings deemed too sensitive or alarming for public consumption.
"Cases such as the lady who reported seeing an object that looked like a flying roll of toilet paper" are clearly not worth investigating, said Patenet.
But many others involving multiple sightings -- in at least one case involving thousands of people across France -- and evidence such as burn marks and radar trackings showing flight patterns or accelerations that defy the laws of physics are taken very seriously.
A phalanx of beefy security guards formed a barrier in front of the space agency (CNES) headquarters where the announcement was made, "to screen out uninvited UFOlogists," an official explained.
Of the 1,600 cases registered since 1954, nearly 25 percent are classified as "type D", meaning that "despite good or very good data and credible witnesses, we are confronted with something we can't explain," Patenet said.
On January 8, 1981 outside the town of Trans-en-Provence in southern France, for example, a man working in a field reported hearing a strange whistling sound and seeing a saucer-like object about 2.5 meters (eight feet) in diameter land in his field about 50 meters (yards) away.
A dull-zinc grey, the saucer took off, he told police, almost immediately, leaving burn marks. Investigators took photos, and then collected and analyzed samples, and to this day no satisfactory explanation has been made.
The nearly 1,000 witness who said they saw flashing lights in the sky on November 5, 1990, by contrast, had simply seen a rocket fragment falling back into earth's atmosphere.
Patenet's answer to questions about evidence of life beyond Earth was sure to inflame the suspicions of those convinced the government is holding back: "We do not have the least proof that extra-terrestrials are behind the unexplained phenomena."
But then he added: "Nor do we have the least proof that they aren't."
The CNES fields between 50 and 100 UFO reports ever year, usually written up by police. Of these, 10 percent are the object of on-site investigations, Patenet said.
Other countries collect data more or less systematically about unidentified flying objects, notably in Britain and in the United States, where information can be requested on a case-by-case basis under the Freedom of Information Act.
"But we decided to do it the other way around and made everything available to the public," Patenet said.
The aim was to make it easier for scientists and other UFO buffs to access the data for research.
The website itself -- which crashed host servers hours after it was unveiled due to heavy traffic -- is extremely well organized and complete, even including scanned copies of police reports.

The UK is making decades' worth of classified files relating to UFOs freely available to the public.
On Monday, the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) began a four-year-long project to transfer the files to the UK's National Archives, which will post them for public perusal. The announcement comes about one year after France made its UFO files available online.
The project is a response to massive public interest and numerous Freedom of Information (FOI) requests about UFOs, or Unidentified Flying Objects, that have been filed over the years. Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator at the MOD, called the release "a great day for open government and freedom of information".
When complete, the National Archive will contain some 160 UFO-related MOD files from the 1950s to 2007, representing the single largest release of records in the ministry's history.
Rejected abductee
Eight files are currently available on a dedicated UFO page at the National Archives website. The files are from 1978 to 1987 and include reports of UFO sightings and alien encounters from civilians as well as military personnel.
The reports range from mysterious to downright bizarre. One elderly man said he was given a personal tour of an alien spacecraft by beings wearing green overalls and then was ultimately rejected for abduction because of his age.
Also included is a behind-the-scenes look at the MOD's preparation for a 1978 debate about UFOs in the British House of Lords. Lord Strabolgi (David Kenworthy) gave the official government response in the debate, which was initiated by Lord Clancarty (Brinsley le Poer Trench), a ufologist.

So where are we now in this divine plan?
The first wavers are at a point of being placed into “position” and in doing so, are having all their needs met. We are now being told that our time is FINALLY HERE. It is time to put our plan into place. FINALLY! We are being handed the reigns of the New World and told to “have at it!”. The road has been cleared. We are being asked to begin the creation process. We are the New delegates and the New “rulers” of the New planet. We are being given carte blanche and it feels divine.
The first wavers have been programmed and trained for their purpose for a very long time. We must go first to lay the foundation. If you are feeling lost or confused, it just that it is not your time yet. Things need to be put into place to ready the planet and you for your time to arrive. Your time is just as valid and important as any other as we all embody an integral piece and facet of this New World.
When your time is near, you will absolutely be ready and things will unfold for you. As the frequency continually rises on the planet, it will activate you when it reaches a certain pitch. You will know. You will feel a strong connection to self.
It will soon begin feeling as though there are two distinct worlds. In this world of the higher realms, the energy is bright and brilliant, all seems to fall into your lap, there is much joy and delight, and the energy all flows in one direction. As we choose which world to be in through our conscious and uplifting positive thoughts, and become good navigators of these higher realms, our reality will reflect this as well. As more and more of us choose to reside here and to create the New in this reality, the Old world will slowly fall away into a space very far away from what we know as real.

The Prophecy
The next (tenth) Pachacuti, according to the Q'ero, has already begun. The word pacha in the language of the Inka means "Earth" or "time." Cuti means "to turn upside-down."
The upheaval and chaos characteristic of this period will last until the year 2012.
During this time the world will be turned right side up again. The ways of the Earth peoples will return. Like the Hopi, the Qero were given signs that would announce the coming of the Pachacuti. These signs led them to first come down from the mountain tops to reveal the rites of passage for slipping through time.
The prophecies speak of a time of upheaval and great opportunity in the next decade, a time when the fabric of the past will be torn, when we will be challenged to live love, heal, and even die differently.
Like the Hopi, the Lakota, and Maya, the Inka believe that the end of the decade may bring with it the end of the world as we know it, and the possibility of a millennium of gold. Although the prophecies mention the possibility of annihilation, they actually promise the dawn of a millennium of peace after this period of turmoil. They promise the emergence of a new human.
Even more important for the shamans, the prophecies speak of a tear in the fabric of time itself. They present an opportunity for us to begin defining ourselves not only in terms of who we have been in the past, but who we will become ten thousand years from now.

Boomerang Shaped Craft Caught In Space Station Photo

Below is an image from the International Space Station, ISS002-704-20_3.jpg. In the upper left corner, just over the ocean, there is a distinct, boomerang shaped craft. The Boeing B-47 Stratojet, similar in shape, has not taken flight since 60's. It also was not as large nor could attain such altitude to be visible at this size in a photo from the space station. The closest neighbor would be the B2 Stealth Bomber, though it is not exactly "boomerang" like the flying-V seen in this photo. If this is ours, what is it? It is either incredibly large, or incredibly high up to appear in such distinct resolution in this shot from just outside the atmosphere.
