Pegasus Digital Music was founded in 1989 by Dwight Stone as a sound production company for the music, film/TV and commercial industry in Los Angeles. (Now with the web, we are not bound by distance or location!) The basic engines of sound production are 24-bit Macintosh computers running ProTools and Digital Performer 5 and various other software, linked to both real and virtual synthesizers/samplers, integrating sequencing (MIDI, when needed) and direct-to-disk recording. Digital Performer allows viewing of video footage locked to score.
Music tracks are composed, then sequenced, and then recorded on the computer. Synthesizer sound ("patch") choices are made, initial editing takes place, and digital effects are accessed. Live tracks or sound effects and sweetening are added as desired.
Final mix is burned to DVD, CD or the medium of your choice.
All of this power is literally at the composer's fingertips, bringing both quick and efficient results. The appropriate sound design can be easily created, from romantic (The Light) to action, suspense (Hammer) to purely background (Pat), from hard hits to the "zing and sparkle!" of techno effects (Gifu digital).
