Dwight Stone and Tim "Harmony" Welvaars teamed up in 2002-4 to create some marvelously soulful tracks, recorded on their album Reveries for Night and Day (2002). Dwight at the time was playing and composing (also singing and conducting) in the Los Angeles area; Tim was, and still is, a virtuoso harmonica player (also a mighty fine keyboard and sax player!) from Hilversum, Holland (now living in Uithoorn, and playing in Amsterdam), and a former student, and the only student, of the legendary Toots Thielmans. Since living in Los Angeles (and before in Europe), Tim has racked up numerous performing and recording credits, such as appearing on Lee Ritenour's "Making Spirits Bright" CD.

Dwight and Tim linked up at a jazz salon in Santa Monica in late January, 2002, and found some terrific ways to connect musically!

Stone and Welvaars appeared in concert in Pacific Palisades in July, 2002, and at several Jazz Salons on the westside of Los Angeles in 2002-4.

Tim represented Holland in the World Olympics of Music, in October, 2003. He placed second in performance, and first place in composition with Sunshine!

"Reveries for Day and Night" $15

Tim returned to Holland in 2005, continuing a fabulous career of musical collaboration and wonderful music-making. He currently plays in his band, and various ensembles, in Amsterdam and the surrounding area.
