The Burning Question
The piercing question that comes of this current global crisis here in 2009 is that we have a problem that is bigger than ourselves alone to solve. For if the problem is there are simply to many people for the size of the planet then who among us is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice so that others may live. Yet the solution may lie in our technical arrogance as it could afford the question to become rather who of us will sacrifice our auto so that people can live, it brings it to a realm of "Can we choose our fellow humans and life forms over our the sake of our automobiles? Because just possibly by giving up one automobile makes extra room for four people and a more stabilized climate then it would seem the obvious choice for those of us who profess to love one and other and the other life on this planet in general. I see no other alternative at this point. In addition to trying to keep the birth rate low as well.
So is it 7 billion people and maybe 100 million cars or 4 billion people plus 600 million cars as it can not seem to be both. This may not be the problem and may not work but it seems something we could postulate and try. Afterall it seems we have effectively built a global car the size of Denmark.
