RE: ANTINOMIES OF THE REALM
A problem that emerges or can emerge in a diverse and multicultural society, involves the presupposition that some hold, that their definition or brand of normalcy, health, world view/way or success etc. is the one universal one, yet reality shows us and concedes that part of the benefit of diversity is that different conditions and states of such fuel the universe of discourse and provide interest and worth to all to some degree over time, whether they be the result of nature, nurture, culture, etc..
This then is where democracy figures in and is quite important in a diverse society, in that it affords the change of governments occasionally, so that hopefully each relevant and legitimate model of such has a turn and effect at the reigns of power while respecting the rights and powers of the legitimate others.
While then, there are equally legitimate and valid, states of health, normalcy and success etc. there are some aberrant and perverted behaviors and beliefs which society just can not accept and tolerate and which are detrimental to the well being of the whole as a whole and thus the existence of basic general laws to govern such. These base laws or commandments thus form the infrastructural framework and components of a effective and sustainable society.
