RE: EARTHLY CONTRIBUTION OR THE GAIA TEST
Well what realistically can humans contribute of benefit, not to society, but to the Earth and planet?
One or we, humanity, should thus screen, subject and run all or the majority of human endeavors and aspirations and industries through the caveat and qualifications of how much will such and such contribute and be a benefit to the overall well being and health and sustainability of the earth and its systems as a whole on a global, large or small scale and in the long, short and or medium term and then maybe secondarily or thirdly assess how it will benefit us humanity.
Do this less we succumb to our own myopic and narcissistic and greedy obsession with our own human selves and thus and then allow only those things which pass a minimum threshold of scrutiny of say at least 60% benefit to the earth or so for such to go forward.
Eventually such a constructive symbiosis approach could not but help but improve humanities over all lot here on earth. Granted it would be difficult to assess sometimes given the variables and complexities involved, difficult but somewhat necessary or mandatory though. Such things could or should possibly thus be tested before hand as well in a semi contained small scale replicate biosphere of the Earth, to get a more practical hands on assessment and measure of what ever we desire to progress. The process could be called the Gaia test.
