HUMAN NATURE 2011
Jan 18 2011
Tuesday
We humans, are a blaming sort often. We are quick to find flaws in others and things to perhaps absolve our selves from taking responsibility for our own thoughts, actions and feelings. Some say for instance, we are in an economic crisis, others say no, it is an environmental crisis, still others say no, it is a crisis of lack of religion, Faith or the Right God or such and such and so and so. These all may or may not be true.
Our flawed buildings and technologies and cars etc. are destroying and polluting our planet and oceans and atmosphere and climate. Our economy its stagnant and vacant because of flawed classical economic models or a lack of imagination or simply it is to complex to be governed. And we need this or that God in order to live right or righteously.
Yes yes we can look at all such and say the world has problems but let us step back for a moment and breath and then realize perhaps.... Hmmmm the buildings and technologies may be flawed true but it is a moot or immaterial point as they can be retrofitted and upgraded and greened and the economy might be lacking but such can be adjusted and tweaked and stimulated and God so and so is better than God this and that makes a whole mockery of such and begs one to an atheist stance, while perhaps the real G O D or concept or understanding of such is beyond the grasp of us mere mortals and such perhaps has left the building in favor of more worthy charges.
What does all that leave then? That leaves us alone in a cruel and greedy and evil world but consider then that the world has got along quite nicely for billions of years without the somewhat recent apparent nuisance and vexation of us homo sapiens sapiens and perhaps does not need changing or saving thus and then and alas it is us humans alone that stands left as the suspect and convict of our misfortunes like some sort of gangerous sore thumb.
There perhaps then is the real truth and cause thus and there of our troubles and woes and it is not so much what is wrong with the environment, economy or God then as what is ailing with us humans and it is we and our basic human nature that is on trial and test and that is flawed and lacking and ill designed.
We thus do not need greener economies and buildings and cars and Gods as much then as we
have to have better greener and kinder human natures and thus need greener and more loving and caring and gentler and responsible hearts, souls and minds. Thus and therein is and lies the challenge for us now and in the future. To some how, some way effect and affect ourselves with a change in ourselves and our natures and hearts that will result in a saner and better and greener and truer humanity, that will then live in a greater harmony and brotherhood and joy with the world, nature and unfathomable universe we inhabit.
How that is done then I don't know but it is something we must all individually strive to do and decide but it and this is perhaps something to reflect upon now and as we venture further on, into this somewhat still new and unfolding millennium and future.
Its not the economy dummy then, its us.
may the light be with us...
