(From the Chinese classic The Dream of the Red Chamber) Black Jade was the central heroine of the story. She was in love with Chia Pao-yu, and he with her, but because of her ill health, his family decided she would be a poor choice as a future wife for Pao-yu. So they arranged for his marriage with another girl. Precious Virtue, but knowing how Pao-yu felt about Black Jade, they let him believe that she should be his future wife. Not until after the couple retired to the wedding chamber and Pao-yu lifted the red veil from his bride's face did he discover the treachery. Upon learning of the marriage, Black Jade finally succumbed to the consumption that had plagued her entire life. After her death, Pao-yu disappeared into the mountains, and was seen only once more as a monk in a red cloak.
"It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleedin')"
Darkness at the break of noon
Shadows even the silver spoon
The handmade blade, the child's balloon
Eclipses both the sun and moon
To understand you know too soon
There is no sense in trying.
Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn
Suicide remarks are torn
From the fool's gold mouthpiece
The hollow horn plays wasted words
Proves to warn
That he not busy being born
Is busy dying.
Temptation's page flies out the door
You follow, find yourself at war
Watch waterfalls of pity roar
You feel to moan but unlike before
That you'd just be
One more person crying.
So don't fear if you hear
A foreign sound to your ear
It's alright, Ma, I'm only sighing.
As some warn victory, some downfall
Private reasons great or small
Can be seen in the eyes of those that call
To make all that should be killed to crawl
While others say don't hate nothing at all
Disillusioned words like bullets bark
As human gods aim for their mark
Made everything from toy guns that spark
To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark
It's easy to see without looking too far
That not much
Is really sacred.
While preachers preach of evil fates
Teachers teach that knowledge waits
Can lead to hundred-dollar plates
Goodness hides behind its gates
But even the president of the United States
Sometimes must have
To stand naked.
An' though the rules of the road have been lodged
It's only people's games that you got to dodge
And it's alright, Ma, I can make it.
Advertising signs that con you
Into thinking you're the one
That can do what's never been done
That can win what's never been won
Meantime life outside goes on
All around you.
You lose yourself, you reappear
You suddenly find you got nothing to fear
Alone you stand with nobody near
When a trembling distant voice, unclear
Startles your sleeping ears to hear
That somebody thinks
They really found you.
A question in your nerves is lit
Yet you know there is no answer fit to satisfy
Insure you not to quit
To keep it in your mind and not fergit
That it is not he or she or them or it
That you belong to.
Although the masters make the rules
For the wise men and the fools
I got nothing, Ma, to live up to.
For them that must obey authority
That they do not respect in any degree
Who despise their jobs, their destinies
Speak jealously of them that are free
Cultivate their flowers to be
Nothing more than something
They invest in.
While some on principles baptized
To strict party platform ties
Social clubs in drag disguise
Outsiders they can freely criticize
Tell nothing except who to idolize
And then say God bless him.
While one who sings with his tongue on fire
Gargles in the rat race choir
Bent out of shape from society's pliers
Cares not to come up any higher
But rather get you down in the hole
That he's in.
But I mean no harm nor put fault
On anyone that lives in a vault
But it's alright, Ma, if I can't please him.
Old lady judges watch people in pairs
Limited in sex, they dare
To push fake morals, insult and stare
While money doesn't talk, it swears
Obscenity, who really cares
Propaganda, all is phony.
While them that defend what they cannot see
With a killer's pride, security
It blows the minds most bitterly
For them that think death's honesty
Won't fall upon them naturally
Must get lonely.
My eyes collide head-on with stuffed graveyards
False gods, I scuff
At pettiness which plays so rough
Walk upside-down inside handcuffs
Kick my legs to crash it off
Say okay, I have had enough
What else can you show me?
And if my thought-dreams could be seen
They'd probably put my head in a guillotine
But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only.

Susan Bright, over at [link], brings us this beautiful blessing:
Kuan Yin Prayer for the Abuser
To those who withhold refuge,
I cradle you in safety at the core of my Being.
To those that cause a child to cry out,
I grant you the freedom to express your own choked agony.
To those that inflict terror,
I remind you that you shine with the purity of a thousand suns.
To those who would confine, suppress, or deny,
I offer the limitless expanse of the sky.
To those who need to cut, slash, or burn,
I remind you of the invincibility of Spring.
To those who cling and grasp,
I promise more abundance than you could ever hold onto.
To those who vent their rage on small children,
I return to you your deepest innocence.
To those who must frighten into submission,
I hold you in the bosom of your original mother.
To those who cause agony to others,
I give the gift of free flowing tears.
To those that deny another's right to be,
I remind you that the angels sang in celebration of you on the day of your birth.
To those who see only division and separateness,
I remind you that a part is born only by bisecting a whole.
For those who have forgotten the tender mercy of a mother's embrace,
I send a gentle breeze to caress your brow.
To those who still feel somehow incomplete,
I offer the perfect sanctity of this very moment.

baloney is thick where the elections are concerned. Toss the devils out is the only recourse. Stop voting for anyone other than yourself. Stop dead government in its' tracks. Over three trillion on the Iraq war alone! That's what the pundits say so...the actual cost? Many times higher. For what? For whom? And cast your eye over towards the Balkans yet again then remember Clintons policy there. But of course they are all of the same ilk...from the traitor FDR onwards. Well, traitorous Congress is an old adage in this legal fiction called the United States of America. A blatant and cankerous lie and a black cancer on the face of the earth.
You had best do a little research on PROMIS = Ptech = GoAgile. It would behoove you to start with Ptech which will eventually show you the Octopus and name names. But for those stupid enough to be following, and believing in, the vote scam...there is no hope.
Come out from it all! It's a stacked deck! Or...jump into the cesspool of Washingtonian bullshit and lies, corruption and murder, treachery, high crimes and misdemeanors, and don't expect to come up smelling like a rose! In fact...don't expect to ever come up again...
When is enough enough?

A-d san...it is the 'agenda.' Remember Egypt of long ago? And no one is supposed to get violent about this? Just turn the other cheek? Vote! Right! People have been, ah, voting for a long time now to what effect? Same old genociding, wholesale, of humans worldwide, so that a few 'elite' politicians (Liars; 'Law makers and bankers.') might profit at the expense of OUR world! Enough IS enough. Theirs will be a fate worse than death. They'll have to face themselves in the mirror of judgement.

thanks JA and A-d for your comments and observations. You make it worth fighting just one more day...and sometimes that can make all the difference in the world. Blessed be.
We need to ride the slide as community.

So the NSA has been up to it's old tricks again, eh? Memory wipe? Maybe you could download your mind on to a cool Terrabytically gigoundous USB? Or better yet...one of the new nano chips which hold a complete Multiverse of data?
In any case I'm sure that if the link had been important you would have, and still may, re-membered (Put it all back together again) it. Right?
Windy and blustery here today. Like Congress, the gov, all presidential hopefulls, jazzolog, and the NSA (No Such Agency.)
