Bush admitted he was wrong???5 comments

This is a response to GWB's confession (NOT Gavin William Bellis, but George W. Bush). You could say, GWB vs. GWB.

He actually admitted that his assault on Iraq was a mistake...I never would have thought he'd say that. Honestly, bravo for him, that's the smartest thing he's ever done.
Has he pulled out of Iraq though?
No.
It's a diversion. He wants the mainstream public calmed down, so that Iraq becomes as old news as Hurricane Katrina, and as 9/11. Nobody talks about them anymore.
And I don't blame him...millions of people wanted me dead? I would say at least something.
Doesn't mean that he's all of a sudden not wrong anymore. He's still got an icy grip on the warm Iraq.
This may be action of a guiding hand, so that 'Freedom' can be better distributed over the world.
What worries me most is the possibility of economic victory over Canada...
Sara Graham and I have spoken about the upcoming Canadian elections, once or twice...I have concluded at least myself that should the Conservatives win, heartless and emotionless as Harper seems to be...then there is a great possibility of Canada's oldest and largest province, Quebec, seperating.
BC has spoken once or twice of Independance as well.
The worst disadvantage of this idea of seperation is that they won't be independant, as they depended sooo heavily on trade, or at least exports. With this cut off initially, it's enough of a catalyst for an economic snowball effect which will make them victim to American Economic Conquest.
This cannot happen. Canada is relatively democratic and everyone here has wonderful rights. The medicine is better, and standards of living are also better.
And we still have the greatest minds here. Who invented the Avro Arrow? Who invented the Canada Arm? (duh). Who invented the jet engine the size of a car engine with the power of engines much larger?
Who invented the PeaceKeeper?
Who's inventing the next Moller-like Flying Car?
That's us. That's Canada. And look at us, we're on our way to American Imperialism. And we all know how much that's going to stir up.

Bush has to do more than admit he was wrong. He has to right his wrongs. Pull out of Iraq. Entirely. Re-negotiate with Martin about the Lumber dispute. And finally, get the economy back on track.

That's exactly right, Bush needs to do far more than just give lip service to admitting Iraq was a mistake. He needs to right those wrongs committed in the name of every American, and atone for these horrible war crimes which stain our honor.

But then, he probably doesn't have a choice but to apologize. The truth is out, and everyone has heard about it.

Furthermore, the corruption and ill-intent which is everywhere in American politics is as deep as ever. What's needed is not just a change of office, but a change of basic values....

Does a beautiful garden grow well if not properly weeded from time to time?

In the days ahead as we enter a New Year, I am hopeful that Congress will help Bush "right his wrongs." Perhaps the only way for the Truth to prevail is for him to be brought up on the latest charges of spying on American citizens without oversight. Thanks for keeping this administration in the news.
