Had a fire over in the Bosque down by the River last week.
Embers were blowing over so everyone in all the houses up and down the line
this side of the drainage canal were out hosing down their yards and roofs.
(If the plural of hoof is hooves, why isn't the plural of roof, rooves?)
Hot embers were a blowin' in the wind.
The firemen got it all under control, eventually.
It started in the late afternoon, early evening,
and lit the night sky up orange.
Things happen, just like that, that have the potential
of turning your life around real fast.
Don't hurt to be ready to move fast
with what you think is important to you.

or can be~~~

The accepted plural is "roofs". The Oxford English Dictionary lists "rooves" as an alternate, one of several outdated spellings used in the UK, and in New England as late as the 19th century.

this is one of the Big "lessons" for Mankind to learn/ (to) ACCEPT :t o live LIGHT on Earth... Be NOMADIC as MUCH as POSSIBLE /"needed".... or at least be ready to be "ambulatory" / flexible.... what Mankind refuses to learn the easy way we have to learn through a little harder lesson , a little harder, a little harder til we say "OK, I got It!..." There's a gazillion REASONS to this Need to be Ambulatory/Nomadic/Flexible ...
Some day we might discuss them or at least a few of them.... (I bet SOME people along the Gulf Coast are learning to be AMBULATORY right now.....)
