With a Primal Breath at birth my Spirit is awakened
With the dawn my Spirit soars
With my Spirit in flight, my consciousness grows
My consciousness born on the Wind, becomes thought
With my breath, thoughts becomes words
My words formed by consciousness, are powered by Spirit
It is my Spirit that communicates
It is the Element of Air that connects my Spirit to your Spirit
It is in the connection of Spirits, that Magic grows
The Magic of Air within my Spirit, empowers my consciousness

I would now wish to bring the matter of US aggression and its toll to the American voters and the Obama camp, this being a most urgent agenda for international peace and cooperation. As per latest count, since after World War II, when the USA was transformed into a World Power status politico-militarily, over 36 Millions of peoples worldwide already died as aggregate casualties of all the US offensives and related military initiatives. What sayeth Obama and his team about the matter?
For an outside observer, it hardly matters what foreign policy architecture were periodically installed by the US administration to justify aggression of every type. The much hyped ‘global cop’ cliché no longer bites the dust, nobody believes today in the rationale for any further US aggression across the oceans save for fascistic elements that profess sympathies for US imperialistic violence and conflicts. What matters is that (a) the aggressions were committed by (b) an imperialistic power, (c) under the guise of performing a global police role, (d) resulting to a staggering 36+ Million deaths! More >

20 Oct 2008 @ 18:48, by jhs. Systems Thinking
Worldwide Conference On Systemic Flaws and Solutions in Society 2009
A global conference to document systemic flaws in our society and to point to existing or to new solutions with emphasis on how to prevent systemic flaws in the future.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rationale:
Human Civilization is threatened by a systemic collapse. Not just in some isolated segments but as a whole. In the case of a systemic breakdown repairing isolated errors becomes pointless. Only the elimination of the principal structural abnormalities within the system will avert the danger of collapse. In a time like this, every Human is being challenged to confront and assess the damage already done and to work together to determine the course of our future as we cannot defer this responsibility to 'higher' authorities any longer.
In the past decades the awareness of the importance of systemic thinking for society at large has already been rising steadily. However, applications and proposals for solutions of identified problems have not yet been forthcoming in significant numbers. Whether this was be due to resistance in academical circles or due to the circumstance that the field of Systemics in itself has been usurped and abused by other interests, will be one of the topics of the Conference. We will take special care and attention that this conference will not be a victim of such reprogramming.
This conference aims to: - document the major systemic flaws in our current civilization - point to existing or new solutions - investigate how systemic flaws can be avoided in the future - provide an interdisciplinary platform and is not limited to contributors with academic degrees
The contributors are requested to: - strive for excellence in form and essence of their presentations - heed attention to not getting entangled in the contemplation of cartesian (mechanistical) errors within society such as the critique of representants of flawed power structures instead of analyzing the present systemic deficiencies themselves - add their submissions for the conference themselves in the Wiki : www.systemicflawsandsolutions.com.
If the number of participants exceeds the capacities of the conference, an election process may limit the number of contributors.
The conference is planned as a multi-cultural event but organizational help can currently only be provided for the languages English, Portuguese Italian, Spanish, French, and German,
The Conference itself is planned for:
March 12th-15th, 2009.
Besides the Virtual Conference itself, 'traditional' conferences may be organized in various countries and their languages.
The submitting authors grant the publication of their articles in the 'Proceedings of the Conference On Systemic Flaws and Solutions in Society 2009' and their video presentation(s) in a future video documentary. Both publications are projected to be not-for-profit and will be realized only if appropriate funding will be available.
You may submit only your own work and use only your own images or those drawn from public domain resources. You may not use offensive language or images.
Please post any questions via the community portal. Official e-mail address of the conference: systemic.flaws.and.solutions@gmail.com More >

Each person has an energy system and these energies are transmitted to others through actions such as words or speaking or physical gestures. Often they are combined as we interact with each other. The energy you send out is the energy another will receive. It is the energy separate from the words spoken. This energy can ignite the receiver to respond back with like energy. When you respond with like energy you are "matching the energy". You always have the choice to match the energy or not. If you choose to shift the energy instead of matching it, you may shift an angry situation. More >

At our very core, we are love, and the natural state of being is to let that love flow into the world around us. Instead, we allow fears and doubts to keep us from doing that as they present an illusion of lack, incompetence and need. The truth is that the love within us is abundance and when let loose, will flow into the world around us. More >

14 Oct 2008 @ 19:56, by ming. Economics, Financing, Banking
Brilliant article by Charles Eisenstein. Maybe nothing I didn't already know, but plenty that strangely has remained secret for most people. What money really is, where it is coming from, and why things aren't going well for "the economy". One should learn it in school, it should be explained on billboards. There should at least be programs about it on TV. But no, I've never seen any program on TV that even hinted at it. Strange, as it is so shockingly simple. There is a much deeper crisis at work as well, a crisis in the creation of goods and services that underlies money to begin with, and it is this crisis that gave birth to the real estate bubble everyone blames for the current situation. To understand it, let's get clear on what constitutes a "good" or a "service." In economics, these terms refer to something that is exchanged for money. If I babysit your children for free, economists don't count it as a service. It cannot be used to pay a financial debt: I cannot go to the supermarket and say, "I watched my neighbor's kids this morning, so please give me food." But if I open a day care center and charge you money, I have created a "service." GDP rises and, according to economists, society has become wealthier.
The same is true if I cut down a forest and sell the timber. While it is still standing and inaccessible, it is not a good. It only becomes "good" when I build a logging road, hire labor, cut it down, and transport it to a buyer. I convert a forest to timber, a commodity, and GDP goes up. Similarly, if I create a new song and share it for free, GDP does not go up and society is not considered wealthier, but if I copyright it and sell it, it becomes a good. Or I can find a traditional society that uses herbs and shamanic techniques for healing, destroy their culture and make them dependent on pharmaceutical medicine which they must purchase, evict them from their land so they cannot be subsistence farmers and must buy food, clear the land and hire them on a banana plantation -- and I have made the world richer. I have brought various functions, relationships, and natural resources into the realm of money. In The Ascent of Humanity I describe this process in depth: the conversion of social capital, natural capital, cultural capital, and spiritual capital into money.
Essentially, for the economy to continue growing and for the (interest-based) money system to remain viable, more and more of nature and human relationship must be monetized. For example, thirty years ago most meals were prepared at home; today some two-thirds are prepared outside, in restaurants or supermarket delis. A once unpaid function, cooking, has become a "service". And we are the richer for it. Right?
Another major engine of economic growth over the last three decades, child care, has also made us richer. We are now relieved of the burden of caring for our own children. We pay experts instead, who can do it much more efficiently.
In ancient times entertainment was also a free, participatory function. Everyone played an instrument, sang, participated in drama. Even 75 years ago in America, every small town had its own marching band and baseball team. Now we pay for those services. The economy has grown. Hooray.... It is first of all a shockingly well-kept secret that money is created when a bank lends it out, and in no other way. It is very poorly understood that when money is created, more money than what was created is needed to pay it back (the interest), which is mathematically impossible, except for if the pyramid scheme can be kept going indefinitely. And there's obviously not widespread understanding of the systemic implications of this whole thing. The system requires that we keep inventing more and more things that we can keep from other people unless they pay us. It is all a big scam, but you're hard pressed to find anybody who'd admit it. In light of the recent events and in following plans I have had for a long time, I decided to go ahead with an online project that I first thought of in 1995 when Flemming founded the New Civilization Network and I installed its first Internet server at my then-home in the Hollywood Hills. Meanwhile much has changed, except for the systemic problems of our society. Flemming came up with better 'worlds', such as the 'Holoworld' [link] , I myself envisioned 'Freeland' [link] about which I also wrote in my book(s) the 'Logs of JD Flora' [link] .
I don't want to duplicate those visions of a better blueprint for society, they speak for themselves. Instead, I am looking at how to TRANSFORM the current society from a systemic viewpoint so that a new society grows into a new structure by itself, as living system.
Therefore I present here the setup of a collaborative, online book to which I give the introduction and first outline and to which I invite the readers of my BLOG to present papers that would fit into this scheme or adding to it.
The 'papers' should be as brief and concise as possible in order to be inserted as chapters into a book of the proceedings of maximal 500 pages to which the author would give the right to publication, if this should ever make sense and be feasible.
The project is officially organized (and sponsored) by Power Relations Ltda, yes a corporation, haha, [link]
The language would be English and I hope with the cooperation of GZ or Flemming to set up a Wiki and it should be possible also to make it multilingual if that is of interest.
The intention of this compilation is to outline SYSTEMIC FLAWS as opposed to MECHANISTIC (cartesian) ERRORS. The project is not about placing blame on anyone particular but to bring about the INSIGHT that only systemic changes can bring about a true shift and 'fixing the symptoms' doesn't help in the long run.
Here it is:
Call for Papers: (Online) Conference On Systemic Flaws and Solutions 2009
January 9th-14th, 2009
(the chapter in order of current priority, typically only the solutions are listed in this rough draft as the problems are visible implicitly)

While the crash only took place six months ago, I am convinced we have now passed the worst and with continued unity of effort we shall rapidly recover. There is one certainty of the future of a people of the resources, intelligence and character of the people of the United States---that is, prosperity.
---President Herbert Hoover - May 1, 1930
Losing a job is painful, and I know Americans are concerned about our economy; so am I. It's clear our economy has slowed, but the good news is, we anticipated this and took decisive action to bolster the economy, by passing a growth package that will put money into the hands of American workers and businesses.
---President George W. Bush - March 7, 2008
on news that the economy lost 63,000 payroll jobs in February.
The singular feature of the great crash of '29 was that the worst continued to worsen.
---John Kenneth Galbraith.

Barack Obama campaigned in Ohio before this week, but his emphasis consistently had been upon the cities in the northern part of the state. Toledo, Cleveland, Youngstown. He had touched Columbus, in Central Ohio, and even swooped down for an invitation-only appearance at Hocking College in Nelsonville before the primary. I didn't get an invitation or even hear about the visit, as there was a huge push to get-out-the-vote that day at Obama headquarters in our town. I resented that his visit wasn't open to all and, even more, that he didn't make a surprise stop down here to cheer on the thousands of OU and Athens City students who were knocking door-to-door. It's a 10 minute drive, and would have made up a bit for ignoring Southeast Ohio.
I'm not stung because it's an ego thing. Southern Ohio is very different from Northern. Southwestern Ohio is dominated by Cincinnati but Athens, despite Ohio University's presence here, is too small a city to dominate anything. As my conservative friend at work reminds me constantly, Athens is a little blue island in an ocean of red. A couple hours drive 2 weeks ago along Route 50 from Athens west to Chillicothe took me past yard after yard, farm after farm, loaded with McCain-Palin signs, flags and spangles flapping everywhere. As Governor Strickland said in Athens last month, if Kerry and Gore lost Ohio it's because of politics right here.
It's true Michelle Obama appeared at OU during primary season, and I'll bet you it was one of the highlights of her campaigning. But that's not the same as the candidate himself showing an interest in the "West Virginia part of Ohio," and maybe providing a convenient opportunity for some Republicans to check him out. His 2-day tour of Southern Ohio featured spectacular appearances in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Portsmouth on Thursday, and Chillicothe and Columbus yesterday. It's a straight shot northeast from Portsmouth to Chillicothe to Columbus---and it cut us out completely...unless we wanted to take the time off yesterday for the workday-scheduled speeches, or stagger through Friday after arriving home past midnight from 2 hours of travel, which we did (if you drive the speed limit, which we didn't). The planet’s bourses are still plunging as of yesterday (Friday), a day that was dabbed as ‘black Friday’ in Japan which saw the Nikkei plunge by 10%. ‘Bloody Friday’ may be a better term, as the word ‘black’ in ‘black Friday’ could be construed as a racial slur.
This gentleman is among the economists/social scientists in Manila who forecast, way back in the late 1980s yet, that the Western economies led by the USA will experience another horrific depression this decade. We were then following the trends of a yawning gap between the ‘financial economy’ or ‘virtual economy’ and the ‘real economy’ based on the GDP statistics. The American economist Lyndon LaRouche devised a very potent graph of the event which he termed as ‘collapse function’. More >

EXCERPT: "It is with great joy and great pleasure within our hearts that we gather with you upon this day, as we hold each and every one of you here today firmly within the heart of Christ and securely upon the hands of God.
Beloved brothers and sisters of the light, it is indeed an amazing time within the evolutionary phase of your lifetimes, it is indeed a most wondrous gift for each and everyone upon this planet to be here at this exact time. We do understand that due to the levels of evolving consciousness, not everyone has taken on a journey of awakening within this lifetime, and that too is as it must be." More >
